When trading job points for strength/defense does happiness affect the amount gained?
It does affect and alot (for low stats like i assume you have) either in a sports team or a furniture comp. In the army i dunno if anyone realy knows...
Personaly i used to stack mine to use with 5 E-DVD and one ecstasy, and the diference betwin that and simply trading with the 3775 base happy i have was quite a huge bit in stats around 100k.
Ofcourse, as your stats grow, since the gain is eponential the happyness effect will become less and less noticeable.

It would take a bit of maths to get to that, dunno after how many days stacking would it become prejudicial to do so. It will eventualy get to a point were the exponential gains would have been better, but for 100 points stacks i dont belive that to be true.
Edit: Just went on a digging for old mails, the happy efect on a furniture and i assume sports team also, its 1 extra point per job point for every 500 happy. So trading 1 with 3.75k happy would give me 7.5 extra points per job point whilist trading 1 with 32k happy would get 65 extra...
Now what i dont know is what would be better in the stat gains overall, 7.5 (simple gain) * 5 (job points per day) * 20 (days) or 65 (gain per point with dvd's and ecstasy) * 100 (stacked points from 20 days)...

Yes there is a 6h booster cooldown on each DVD, but you can fill the booster cooldown up to 24h before you cant use any more items.
Now this would mean you should be only able to use 4 E-DVD's, but, if your cooldown its empty when you start stacking, when you finish using all 4 E-DVD's the cooldown will already have decreased bellow the 24h (to 23h and 50 something minutes) making it possible to use a 5th DVD.
