what would you recommend me doing to get my nerve to the next level or is there a guide or something I could look at.

Best things for higher NBs are busts and do not fail crimes and go to jail. I would do steal a jacket/warehouse arson/kidnap mayor. When you get close to a 35 bar you will start seeing successful stealth viruses. Good luck!

Be patient. If you think you've waited long for 30-35NB, you're got a huge surprise when trying to get from 35-40.
Stealth virus, Arson warehouse and mix in some busting. Use nerve boosters (such as bottles of beer or others) to do more / extra crimes every day

Then again, Im at 40 NB for about 2000 days now. Doesnt matter what I do, it will never rise to 45, ever.

Do nothing but warehouse arsons for next 2-3 months and you will have your 45 NB.

Agreed - its warehouse all the way .. and busts if you care more for Nerve than Energy =/ ..
Yes - it takes months - but - what will you do when you reach the max nerve bar ? .. enjoy the challenge

I'm doing warehouse+goverment building from the starting of the week and still I'm at 35 (+4 merits)...
also done some kidnap and 17 nerves crimes...
but bar is not growing to 40 !!!

35-40 takes the longest. Took me 178 days doing a mixture of crimes (stealth virus, arson warehouse, GTA 1 and a fair number of busts)

Nerve Bar Guide: http://tchelp.wetpaint.com/page/Nerve+Bar+Guide (clicky wouldn't work) :/
Doing Arson Warehouse is probably your best bet. If you start getting a lot of reds, maybe change to Stealth Virus Crimes for a while, then change back to Warehouse again. Avoid anything that gives you more than 1 red out of 5 crimes.
