So that seals the deal, 3 for update wins. Update plz, the people have spoken.
Yes please update (3 votes)
No it's fine as it is (2 votes)
Not bothered (2 votes)
And omg, 7 people voted out of 30k daily players (0.023%). Statistically that means nothing.
I've seen polls that were 60% in favour at the beginning but slowly shifted to 30% when more people voted.
This should also be in suggestions (you're suggesting they should update poker), more people who think carefully about updates would vote there.
However if you post in suggestions, there should be a lot of details and maybe some pics too.
Just suggesting to update this or that is useless.

update something that appears to be pretty much up to date?
Remember poker has been upgraded twice in the past.
a question for you though OP: What has to be updated from poker?
Well everything. Craps and roulette are very flashy (see what I did there) and when you look at other poker sites their format is much smother. Is it something to do with the fact that poker just moves money from player to player and the house gets nothing?
Maybe there could be an entrance fee, say 10% of the table limit.

the only thing to change in poker is losing position while u bet
Do you mean timeout? If you do then that would be impossible.
No. There is something called position in poker which coders who wrote TC Poker are obviously aren't aware of. Small Blind-Big Blind-Other Players-Dealer, this is the order in which betting round should take place in every round. But in TC poker, if someone folds, or re-raises this order is not kept which screws up very basic poker strategies like Dealer raises etc, because dealer doesn't get to act last in that round anymore.
Ideally, the person whose the dealer in a particular hand should always be the one playing last or if he has folded then the one sitting before him. But in TC poker it's all so messy.

basically this
and i think torn poker could do with a speed update
a pretty good example is the poker by zynga in facebook
its fast, simple and beautiful
just makes you want to play it
but here
poker is slow
some rules are messed up like was said by the person above
and the fact that it has had 2 updates in the past doesnt really count if its still not as good as it should/could be
edit:
i would start playing it again here
for now its just too annoying
I think poker looks okay, and if anything, update keno and hi/lo...
BUT it would be nice if basic poker rules were followed. Like the order, and the weird splits that happen. This shouldn't be hard to implement but it seems that Torn just can't get it right.

As a regular poker player, I can state there are several serious bugs which affect the outcome of the game.
I don't think the system needs a complete overhaul, but these issues need to be resolved, and they are known issues. I think it's on the "to do" list.
Well update means to make it more modern. And ched uses it to mean additions.
And it even applies to what the other people in the thread are talking about, changing the rules to the more generally accepted poker standards.
But what you are talking about is fixing bugs. Which of course should be done. But that is fixing and this thread is about updating.

I made comments about such a few times JJ, but the current way it works is exactly like the homegame of one of the staffers.
We're lucky he aint using jokers, or declares the deuces wild in his homegame I guess
