if anything there needs to be a Questions sub section for tutorials/player guides because that would make it somewhat more user friendly to play since the forum guides explain things in a more detailed manner than most informative sites like the wiki or TCBasic.

A wiki is something you can go and edit yourself and include the information there, and is only as "informative" as those who edit it make it. Of course then you couldn't just take information that's already (mostly) on tcbasic and repost it here for lots of + rates and attention.

I know what a wiki is because I've used and edited some wiki pages for various articles(none on the torn wiki) now and then whenever I'm bored.
As far as the vague claim of that I created this for ratings well I've spent hours working on this guide to help others. If I wanted to make a half assed guide for ratings I'd copy everything off the wiki or tcbasic and not add anything to it but that isn't what I've done here.
As far as the new honors I've worked closely with JimmyJames and bfcspealy(spelling?) on updating their awards page to include them.

I got the Eco Friendly honor yesterday, but no merit with it.
Usually when I get honors, I get the merit instantly. Is it normal for me to have to wait, or should I message staff?
Its a known bug that I believe ched is still trying to tackle. Some people are getting the merit but not the honor they're supposed to get for whatever it is or they get the honor but no merit.
I say file a bug report of the situation with the name of the honor, screenshot of the stat for it and when you earned it.

I was referring to player guides and not the newb guide . The newb guide only explains merit upgrades even though they're already stated on the merits page and the other thing is general forum info like bbcode and forum sig sizes.

Having the both benefits below will knock 6 days off the coding time for each simply virus allowing you to get the honor in just 400 days
• Having the IIL aka I Industries Ltd. stock benefit will cut virus coding times by half. This will knock off 5 days for coding simple viruses
• Also taking the CMT2600 : Natural Language Engineering which gives a Gain a 10% decrease in virus coding times. This will knock off 1 day off Difficulty/Time: Medium to hard depending if you use both the benefits above.

I already know of that but I won't update this till I move the whole guide to GD and combine it with the info in the thread I have there.
Its such a pain having to edit both threads which is why I'll eventually move this one.
Damn, finished most of the work on the medals guide so I added the edited version of it in and low and behold I hit the 90k character limit on posts which causes everything to dissapear.
Guess I'll have to repost the guide using the first two posts to get around this later.
