these are weapons on a budget so that people can do the merits
handbag for 16 billion is technically the best melee weapon and gold ak 47 is probably the best gun (or those that have been selling in the auctions for a couple of billions)

yea, the damage is awesome. but it's not very accurate so I would recommend it only if you have huge dex...

I specialize in weapons experience from the bachelors degree in the combat courses...So I stick with my 3 favorite weapons to gain individual experience from them.Do not expect me to say what I use cause you would have to just attack and see
Nice thread for those that needs to find out what to use for the merits.:P

It's totally your call, but you really should sit on your merits for a while. Merits are finite and pretty valuable. There are lots of opinions and debate on what is the best thing to spend merits on, but the most important thing is that they are limited. You should wait until you understand all the options fairly well, or you risk regretting wasted merits.
There are a few threads (buried pretty deep probably) with great advice and opinions on how to spend merits. People are divided on it, but people are pretty unanimous on which merits are certainly wasted.

I remembered that bogie said somewhere that the Japanese blade education only gives bonus to weapons that can be purchased in japan. So yasukuni wouldn't get the bonus
Maybe I remembered wrong...

what post do you mean? this topic/the list? I'm pretty sure I made it myself I originally posted it as a question in our faction forum and created the first list out of the answers. When it was nearly completed I also posted it in here.
Btw.: it is also already some months old.
the list don't say that yasukuni count as japanese blades... the semicolon is there for a reason
I have a question: some days ago I somewhere saw a post where all weapons were sorted by categories. completely with pictures. Anyone knows this topic? I can't find it anymore... Would like to ask the author if I may incorporate it here...

Yes, exactly, I was referring to that. When I read this topic, I thought he meant that you should use Yasukuni Sword if you have completed the education which, supposedly, gives bonus to Japanese Blade weapons.
I probably read it wrong on the OP then (although Last Edited: Fri Aug 05, 2011, so can't tell).
Minor corrections:
| Melee: Nunchakas/Macana; Kodachi Swords if you have completed Japanese blade education course; Yasukuni if you can effort it and have great dexterity |
afford*, Speed?*
I don't think defensive stats play any role in the choice of weapons.
