Please follow these guidelines, they are the one's given to staff to follow when moderating the forums. There may be times something comes up that is not here but I will be glad to quickly address it and post an example to clear up any confusion.
Trading Post examples:
b+r = lock and ban now. Do not pay for or advertise for any form of bump + rate. Having your friends bump and rate just because is fine, do so only if the thread is off the first page however.
Bumping threads that are not on the first page is fine, bumping with anything like ;) or bump or whatever is ok.
Trying to alert people to scammers in the Trading post forums is fine as long as it come's with an explanation and no flaming.
Good Examples:
This guy scammed me of xxx through a trade last week.
This guy scammed my friend of xxx through a trade last week.
Bad Examples:
SCAMMER! (add any flaming insult here)
Just typing scammer is your opinion if you provide nothing else to go with it, someone could type scammer in my Trading post thread and clearly I'm not going to be scamming anyone. So please do state why you are calling them a scammer.
Those complaining about people being allowed to explain why they believe you are a scammer, it's no different than me posting "Great Trader!" in someone's thread. I had a good experience trading with them, someone else may have had a bad experience trading with you.
Flaming:
I always use Sweeney as my example cos he can take it So here goes.
This is how we deem flaming in forum post. Please note same language is used in most post it is without a doubt the context I chose to use in those post that may or may not get me banned.
We will not tolerate flaming of other players in the forum. You can disagree with anyone you choose, you can still do it without insulting them in a flaming manor.
Examples:
Sweeney you f**king prick ...I am directly flaming him, he's a player in this game and Ive just directed that at him. This is bad.
Sweeney, I think Hydro can be such a prick sometimes. This is flaming hydro it was said to Sweeney but directed at hydro. This is bad.
Trolling/Spamming
Do not post in threads that are old and dead to boost your forum score. They are old and dead for a reason please leave them and let them purge.
Do not derail topics with useless spam.
Examples of useless spam are as follows but not limited too:
:):):):):):)
Huzzah!
Red Panda!
Basically anything not to do with the topic at hand but you still feel the need to be seen in that thread with some random post will get you banned just stay on topic. I understand topics often lead to other topics and conversations change course and grow during a thread and that's great! We want to see this happening! Without the random spam that has nothing to do with any of the topics at hand. These people will be banned and removed from the forums so that conversation may flow freely without their nonsense.
Swearing
Swearing is filtered. It's filtered for a reason. Do not bypass the filters allow them to do their job so that you can remain in the forums. Swearing is not an issue as long as it's not excessive, flaming or spamming.
Bypassing the filters to swear without it being filtered is bad.
Questions Forum:
Make sure your title for the post is coorect..
I.E....
bad = Overdose
Good = What is the effects of overdosing
Also a good idea and as curtesy to other players when your question has been answered but a [A] at the front of your title to indicate that your question has been answered.

I hope that you don't mean that everyone saying "Huzzah!" is getting banned.
"Huzzah!" can be on topic, and isn't always spam. It is like saying "Yes!" or "Whoo!" when used correctly. For example: If I thought that there was too much spam in the forums nowadays (I'm not very active at the moment so I have no opinion), I'd say "Huzzah!" to this thread.
Sure it's fine Kassak, unless it's got absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand which is in fairness when they mostly say it. To be seen in a thread that they have nothing remotely interesting to post about they post Huzzah.
Evil Duck can't bypass the swear filters other than that would you like me to ban you for typos? Because that is about how petty you wanting him banned for his typing is. If you don't like what he has to say don't read it. The less attention you pay him the less he speaks. It's simple really.
There is no real need to answer a question once someone has given the correct answer. Unless you have something to add to it why bother? It's already answered and correctly.

so if someone does just quote a correct answer saying " what they said " will they get a ban for spam ?
I have to admit I had a good chuckle at "Red Panda!", spam or not that shit was hilarious.
Edit;
Adding onto what someone else already said, I think it's imperative that some decision is made on the style of post ED regularly posts. I would call that useless spam and it often sends threads off course. Surely this is deemed trolling?

If everyone stopped feeding him he would lose interest in the end

What about if someone falls victim to a poorly designed morse code translator, and posts something they didn't intend to by mistake?
You mean something like "I like morse code it makes me horny" when it has nothing to do with the thread and is posted in morse code? That kinda thing?

You mean like the morse code which you had decided was ok to use? And the fact that it had nothing to do with the thread was not my fault, as I had intended it to be something on topic?
Nonetheless, 0ffline, if you'd like to discuss it with me, do so by mail. this is not the place, and I had asked a simple, on topic question. Cheers.

I know this may sound strange but what exactly is trolling?
Trolling: purposefully posting remarks which will provoke inflammatory responses
Spamming: purposefully posting remarks which are irrelevant to subject matter within the thread.
Flaming: insulting other posters
It's being proclaimed that rules will be enforced on everyone when obviously they are not.. I could start naming reasons and examples but I'll probably get banned again and they'll lock the thread, but not grave it so we can't make our points...

Me- "I received a 30 day ban, then 4 days later I noticed it became a 60 day ban. Why?
this is pretty useful, but i doubt any of this information will ever be processed or followed i mean honestly you might aswell just turn this game in Rated-R and just let the forums be a free for all lol
I sometimes see a post put up by a person new to the game and everyone then who seemed to jump on the band waggon to comment on the question just gave a negative reply,in the case I was referring to it took 12 slots until one person came up with an answer that kept to topic.
