Note that music MUST have a start/stop button. Forum sigs and factions descriptions can not contain any music. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning and removal of the music!
How to put music in your profile?
1) Create an account
Go to www.projectplaylist.com and create an account.
2) Select music
Once logged in click search musicon top of your screen.
Find the track you want, and click on (+) to add the song.
You now have to test if it works, and if it works, click It works! Add it to my playlist
Click continue to search and add more songs.
3) Get your player
Click Go to my playlists after you have added the songs.
Click Your-name playlist (x tracks)
4)Get the code you need for TC
Under Get the code for this playlist
Click the option Get the code for any other social network, blog or your own personal website
Now you can choose a color, and random play.
Do that and click get code!
NOTE: Autostart is an option that is very annoying to a lot of people. They dont like it when the music bumps out of their speakers when they have their own music on.
Respect this, and do NOT use the autostart option.
Players that visit your profile will see your player and can listen to it if they want.
Also note that autostart is FORBIDDEN by TC rules, so having autostart playing music in your profile will result in a warning.
Be smart and dont risk it!
A box with a lot of code appears now.
You need the line of that code, it starts with
src="http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/mp3player-othersite.swf?
and ends with playlist=3300969" (can be any number, this is just an example)
5) Add the player to your profile
In TC click preferences -- profile signature
In the box that appears type [*flash]the url you copied in the previous step[*/flash]
!!!!!!!! Note that you only need the url from the code and have to remove the scr=" "
Also you need to remove the * out of the flash [ ] in order for it to work !!!!!!!!
If you followed all these steps, you will have your own customised player in your profile now.
6) Size adjustment
For those of you who are having trouble with the size of the music player;
add [*flash=270x435] to the front of the code instead of the [*flash].
This resizes the player to the full proper size and not cutting anything off.
If you change the number values in [*flash=270x435] then you must match those numbers within the mywidth=435&myheight=270 portion of the code.
For example;
[*flash=375x625] and match the numbers in the code to http://www.profilelist.net/mc/mp3player-othersite.swf?config=http://www.profilelist.net/mc/config/config_black.xml&
mywidth=625&myheight=375&playlist_url=http://www.profilelist.net/loadplaylist.php?playlist=6380256"
End result;
[*flash=375x625]http://www.profilelist.net/mc/mp3player-othersite.swf?config=http://www.profilelist.net/mc/config/

How to add an Hit-counter in your profile:
People like to see how many times their profile is visited.
Really easy to do:
1) Visit -- www.amazingcounters.com.
2) Select counter
Go to the sample counters part and click on the style you want.
3) Customize counter
Fill out the form they provide (it makes you sign up there so you can edit it later)
Site url: http://www.torncity.com/profiles.php?XID=your id here
Increment on -: All hits
Adult Content - : Normal
Start count: 0
4) Get the code
Follow the steps and you end up with a big long code.
Again, you wont need the whole code, just this part:
http://c7.amazingcounters.com/counter.php?i=1421339&c=4444230
5) Add the counter.
In Torncity, go to preferences then profile signature.
Now you will add the link into your profile picture.
Type: [*flash] the link as shown above [*/flash]
You can adjust the size yourself by doing [*flash=30x120] in the first tag. You can try any numbers, just play with it to find out what looks best.
Important, do not type the * in there.
If you have followed these steps the counter should now be on your profile page.

How to put a youtube video in your profile?
1) Find the video and get the code
Go to youtube.com and browse until you see the video you like. Then look to the right and highlight and copy the embedded tag.
Now the embedded tag should look messy but all you want is the url part e.g:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=a733LewgmD0
Then get rid of the 'watch?v=' part and replace it with 'v/'
So you'll get;
http://youtube.com/v/a733LewgmD0
2) Add the video
In Torncity, go to preferences then profile signature.
Then just do [flash*]http://youtube.com/v/a733LewgmD0[/flash*]
(without the * of course)
