It's because you have a "t" at the end of the link where it's mean to be .gif. Try [*img]http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm175/k-stewart/beeyatch.gift[/img] without the asterisk.

You need to read and follow the steps slowly and clearly. I cannot think of an easier way to learn how to put music in your profile yourself other than reading than this guide and following it.
