This thread will provide information on how to place music, videos and a vistor counter to go on your profile signature.
Notice
Please note that music MUST have a start/stop button. Vidoes, playlists and other media that automatically play sounds (autoplay) will be removed and the user warned.
Having autoplay on profiles is against the Torn City rules.
1) Create an account
• Go to www.projectplaylist.com and create an account.
2) Choose music
• Once logged in click search musicon top of your screen.
• Find the track you want, and click on (+) to add the song.
• You now have to test if it works, and if it works, click "It works! Add it to my playlist".
• Click continue to search through and add more songs.
3) Get your player
• Click Go to my playlists after you have added the songs.
• Click Your-name playlist (x tracks)
4) Get the code you need for TC
• Under Get the code for this playlist click the option Get the code for any other social network, blog or your own personal website.
• Now you can choose a color, and random play.
• Do that and click get code!
A box with a lot of code appears now.
You need the line of that code, it starts with: src="http://www.musicplaylist.us/mc/mp3player-othersite.swf?
It ends with: playlist=3300969" (can be any number, this is just an example)
5) Add the player to your profile
Those that use the "Default Sidebar" can add the player to their profile by clicking "Settings" at the top right hand corner, then selecting "Profile Signature".
Those that use the "Old School" sidebar can add the player to their profile by clicking "Preferences" located on the sidebar, then selecting "Profile Signature".
• In the box that appears type [*flash]the url you copied in the previous step[*/flash]
• Note that you only need the url from the code and have to remove the scr=" "
• Also you need to remove the * out of the flash [ ] in order for it to work!
If you followed all these steps, you will have your own customised player in your profile now.
6) Size adjustment
• Those of you who are having trouble with the size of the music player:
Add [*flash=270x435] to the front of the code instead of the [*flash].
This resizes the player to the full proper size and not cutting anything off.
If you change the number values in [*flash=270x435] then you must match those numbers within the mywidth=435&myheight=270 portion of the code.
Example:
[*flash=375x625] and match the numbers in the code to http://www.profilelist.net/mc/mp3player-othersite.swf?config=http://www.profilelist.net/mc/config/config_black.xml&
mywidth=625&myheight=375&playlist_url=http://www.profilelist.net/loadplaylist.php?playlist=6380256"
• You can edit your player by logging in to your Project Playlist account and edit the songs, or start this tutorial again.

[color=red]How to add music using Mixpod:[/color][color=blue]
1) Create an account.
Go to [url]http://www.mixpod.com[/url]
2) Create a playlist
From the "My playlist" drop-down menu, select "New playlist"
3) select a skin
In the new window select select a new skin
4) Add music
From the "Add music" tab you can search for music and then put it in your player with the "+" button
From the "Customize" tab you can select a different skin, colors and style and select a few options such as autoplay, loop, privacy, shuffle and volume. Here you should select autoplay to be turned off, so that you don't get into trouble since it's not allowed.
From the "Save playlist" you give it a name and a description and you push the green "SAVE(get code)" button .
5) Push the green button
After you pushed the green button, in the next page, select to embed your player into Gaia, from the menu on the left.
6) Get the code
Copy the code you get and paste it on your profile , between the [flash=HxW][/flash] tags and put the width(W) and height(H) so that it matches the value in your code.
note: the "*" is to be removed.I put it there just so that the actual BBcode can be seen.

[color=red]How to add a map hit-counter onto your profile:[/color]
Tutorial by: Hyper [846708]
I think it was easier to explain in a Google doc, please find the link below.
The 1st value (370) is height, the 2nd value 600 is width of the video. If your seeing black boarders its because the aspect ratio is not correct after you have enlarged the video. Just play with it until it looks ok.
If you need help, or have questions, post them here, and we can try to help you out.

Upload the gif image to Imagethrust, photobucket, or any other photo storing website you have found (that allows gif images). Make sure when you save the animated image, if you made it, the right way. (Photoshop/ImageReady users will have to use 'Save Optimized As')
