About the Class
This webinar, we'll be discussing vectors: where to find them, how to edit them in Illustrator, how to export them to use in Photoshop, how to use them as embellishments in your artwork. If you've never opened Illustrator before, you'll want to attend. This will be run with the absolute Illustrator beginner in mind.
Due to a lot of technical issues with GoToMeeting, I'm trying out WizIQ instead for the next webinar. Feel free to use the link above anytime prior to the webinar opening to use the "System & Device Check" link.
The session will be recorded. If the meeting room is filled up and you can't enter, I will upload the recording to YouTube after the session has ended. However, Webinar #4's recording was unusable. I've switched programs to try to avoid a repeat of that issue, but it is always a possibility. Thus, if you don't want to miss the information, I do suggest trying to make it to the webinar and arriving about 10 minutes early to ensure you get a spot inside the room.
Have suggestions for other topics to cover on Saturday? Let me hear them! I'll try to cover them as well. Always open to guest presenters, also. Have a technique or skill you'd like to share? We'd love to learn from you!

To get you started, here's my favorite smudge brushes... (didn't make them, just collected them)

Webinar 3 on it's way at youtu.be/f6-zecDgI4k YouTube says 16mins, but it lies, more like a half hour by the time they finish processing it, I suspect.
We continue with a Non-Destructive work flow on the image from Webinar #2. Topics covered,blending a render, channels, levels, find edges filter, unsharp mask filter, sharpening, blurring, burning, dodging, threshold, curves, and selective color.

I need a video guru to help me out. For some fricking reason my audio video sync is lost again on youtube....not a problem on the computer, happens in upload to the web. Video is not my forte, so if anyone has some help to offer there so I can get the audio to line up with the video online, please send me a message.

Maybe try and convert it to another file type and re-upload it. It might fix the problem.

No worries about not being able to attend. Those that can make the live sessions get the advantage of being able to ask questions to get real-time answers and avoid the ridiculously annoying audio/video sync issue on my YouTube upload (going to work on that this evening after school work), but otherwise, all the info is all there on youtube for anyone that wants it.
If anyone has a schedule conflict with an upcoming webinar but is having questions on a particular topic, you can pm me those and I'll try to cover them next time.

Got it fixed. Had to go into iMovie, reconvert the file, go into advanced settings, change the frame rate and audio settings, export (took two hrs to export!!!) and then reupload. I sure hope there's an easier way to do that but at least I know of A way that works now. Link updated in OP.

Your webinars are great!! Ive learned something new with each one and I cant wait for more. I too am having troubles with smudging. And would love a topaz tutorial. Id like to learn how to get that paint like effect. Like the one you have uploaded as your current sig. Or is it an actual digi paint??
Either way, maybe a more in depth tut on useing your paint brush to blend and add lighting. More specificly like the orbs in Hades sig above?? I would also love to see a tut on useing fractals and vectors. More importantly, useing them effectly so that dont ruin the compestion and flow of the entire piece!!

Kdogg, I'm just seeing this post. Not sure which sig you meant, as I change them frequently. So just let me know, and I'll see if I can prepare something for tomorrow. We will be going over lighting tomorrow with brushes. I think Hades since changed his tag too, but I'll ask him what about a recent tag with orbs to see what you meant.
