I think there's a little difference, I had the same problem with Photoshop cs6 making a piece looks great but when uploaded it looked terrible.

I think there's a little difference, I had the same problem with Photoshop cs6 making a piece looks great but when uploaded it looked terrible. |

I've been feeling the same way with my pieces. I'm in CS6 also. You'll get to see when we do the video webinars. Like this sig below, it's vibrant and sharp on CS6. I went back in and added a high pass on soft light to try to fix it after uploading here. I've noticed it a few other tags too. I'm not exactly sure if it's a conversion issue or if it's just that the default bg is so dark for CS6 (which is waaaaaaaay better for images than this drabby bg here). I really love the dark bg, but I think I need to start making my tags at least with the light gray background option for CS6. (Just right click in the dark open space on your PS, and choose light gray). It will be closer to the Torn background. That way we are making it to look right against a lighter bg. What I have noticed is even the drabby light green on da seems to make the same exact image look better than here. So again, I think it's just that we're working in such a dark atmosphere when we make these tags that we aren't needing to make the colors pop like we would if we worked with a bg like Torn.

Seriously can't get over the difference in quality from PS to web.  I did a little research on it last night, only found one site on all the web even alluding to the problem. Adobe claims it's a setting. I'm gonna play with that today and see if I can find the work around. If I can't find the workaround, I'll ask the director of my degree about it and see if he's heard of the issue and has a fix. I'm baffled.
This looks good here, but it looks ahhmazing on your computer.

I posted in the outside gfx site just now with tons of variations on the settings, you can check it out there. Still doesn't seem any of them are as good as in program. I've tried every settings suggestion I've found online, and a few of my own tinkerings too.

I'm not sure if this is of any help, but scaling down on photoshop cs6 makes the image look more pixely somehow compared to older versions, it would be best to take your finished psd from cs6 and load it up in an earlier version, then save as a .png or .jpeg

Same problem a few months ago and only thing i found on it that even made sense (considering we are on the net where you can find anything, its a load of bullshit to find SOMEthing that you want), was about web colours. PS has like an anti aliasing effect with colours, unlike say the very old MSPaint where red really was red (the single pixel) then if you wanted a different shade of red you had to chose that, think a soft brush like effect. Now imagine making that 1 click soft brush effect pixel by pixel 
Needless to say i think there is quality loss through that during uploading, png, jpeg...doesnt matter. I gave up on trying to figure it out.
As for the sig, i like the trippy colours but not fond at all of the render...did you not consider it as an abstract maybe?
edit: oh and the web only accepts upto a 72 dpi resolution, so if you are over that, then that could be why.

I really don't know what I can put forward, as an artist it's your choice which way your art goes. To be honest I can't really see anything wrong with, nor what you could add or remove. Just make a stop when it's right for you, I have a strong feeling you've reached that point already.
