It definitely needs work. You have some sort of Filter on the background and it's not the best look. With some work and a proper background it would look nice though.
Photoshop or GIMP?

It almost looks oversaturated in pixelly (probably just spelled that wrong haha). But if that was what your going for (as in some cases it might for effect) then good job I guess.
I will give more cnc when I get available time.
