I agree that art can be used to promote awareness and should continue to do so. Ordinary Palestinian citizans are indeed suffering but people need to read up on the history of the conflicts to understand that there are Two sides to the story before assuming that Israelis are responsible for all that suffering. |
Of course, I don't support Hamas but the case for Israel is well documented on your media. Any media you see has it well documented (Primarily because most of the media is owned by a few number of corporations, google 'Newscorp' and 'Time warner', you can see the assets they own in the wikipedia page or of course if you want to do further research you can do that as well but you will come to the same conclusion). And so what is happening is that the case for Palestine is almost forgotten, is it because nothing is happening there? is it because it's not serious there? You see these are the questions which needs to be asked.
People are deprived of food / running water / housing / electricity and their livelihoods. The reports I posted / links are just 2 links, they are not Hamas owned, they are international independent organizations which work on the betterment of society and they work on assisting people in seriously dire conditions and they're telling this about Palestine.
Now you might say ' But these Palestinians dont want peace ', they do my friend. In sept 2011, 'Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas formally submitted a request to join the United Nations as a full member state. He said the request entailed international recognition on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as a capital.' but then what happened? 'President Obama has told Mr Abbas that the US would use its UN Security Council veto to block a Palestinian bid. Mr Obama is facing a difficult battle for re-election next year and will be conscious of Israel's many friends in the US. '
That's how it works you see. Anyways I can go on but I guess its best if we take our discussions to mails because I don't want to divert the attention from the real issues at hand.

Hamas, an indepent organisation by the people of a country to free their country from external forces and traitors inside the country, This is my view of Hamas.And they are being made terrorists, as only they have weapons while citizens use stones as their weapons(included in documentary)....And the support being given to Israel by US is alot in between them and through UN, as you said, when palestine asked member ship, why would Obama go against it???
And take the history of Obama, he was a pure democratic politician at the start and he had no powers controlling him, when he joined the parties and elections, he had a very low fame and support, but soon , almost in a sudden it increased...!!how???uz till then he was against the Israels sitting in the american white house, but he later came to know he can gain nothing from unsupporting them, and then he started favouring them and as a reward, he was made able to reach in the presidence chair....Todays newspaper says , Obama is one of the weakest presidents!!
