I used to find something about fortnightly. A lot of artifacts for me with a casino pass being about my best find. I have had a very dry patch lately. I have been flying a lot though. I can't see how the game is giving better or more frequent finds

I don't always find things, but when I do its a MP40 and a Crowbar with in 1 day.

I've found one item so far whilst playing about 1 month of this game. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing but from what people have been saying above it seems not! Good luck to all.
I think that you are right, something was changed in order to receive more finds... I noticed that I'm finding more stuff since Feb.

You don't have to be super active for finds...just active at the right times.
You have the chance to randomly find a total of 48 items in a 24 hour period...You can be super active and be online for 12 hours straight but all that means is that you cut your chances of finding stuff down to 24 items.
On the flip side you could log in once and hour for 5 minutes (unlikly, I'll admit) and ramp your chances up to 48 items again but only play for 2 hours a day.
....add that up with flying etc and chances really do come down

Where'd you get that idea?
...From an older thread, I beleive it was Bogie who said that you get the chance to find 2 items per hour/per city click in an effort to remove the advantage of auto-refreshers (Apollogies to Bogie if it wasn't you!)

Q: Does it make any difference if I click more often into the city? A: Multiple clicking increases the chance of finding items. Some rumours have been around that there could have been a maximum limit, whereupon a federal jail warning follows. But this limit does no longer exist.

Q: Could I know at some point, that clicking for the next XXX times/minutes/hours does also not get me an item? A: Torn avoids finding a new item after you already found one for a certain time. At the moment nobody knows how much time this is. Some players find things after one hour, so it can not be very long.
That's wrong
There IS a limit to the number of clicks, you don't go to fed, but after you've clicked the city TWICE in one hour you can no longer find anything for that hour. Max you can find in one hour is TWO items because of this.
For #2, if you're very lucky you can find 2 items simultaneously, I've found 2 items in the same hour within 10 minutes of each other.....the only limit is the 2 clicks to the city (which I did there) and I wouldn't be able to find anything more until the next hour.
I wonder if bogie has any proof of this, or if it's just a hypothesis. I often find items after I've done way more than 2 city clicks, so I just don't see how that could be true.
