SUN I believe was led by Rock 1017, I remember those great wars that we were involved in and how its all the forums talked about. Dont forget hunting which I believe was introduced sometime in 06?

I could be wrong but i thought Sun was originally Ran by Night and Riot I thought Rock was just the guy with the best stats in Sun. It has been a few years and i've slept since then tho.

Some misconstrued information there, (and a lot missing). Certa was not the first player to pass 1mill stats. ConfusedEmu was the first player to pass 1 mill stats. He used to train strength almost exclusively however and never attacked. Certa was the first person to live in a Palace (and technically the only person) when they were available for 15mill. This was achieved by members of his faction (Blitzkrieg I think he was a part of) pooling money so they could put him in it. The only other person to own one in those days was a staff member who cheated for their cash and got deleted shortly afterwards. They were sold however to add money in to the first TC bank when it was introduced prior to Palaces being changed to their current cost.

HT wasn't around in the first year. I don't think HT has ever had an ID lower than 100k. If they have it was well after they were established.

Donator packs where not available at all until much later. You could purchase donator status off of other players who could donate for you for around $30,000 when I first joined. The majority of that money was recoverable by selling the points so only really cost around 5,000 at the time. This price steadily increased over the months/ years until the introduction of the donator pack as an item (my suggestion during one of the rare times coders listened to staff in the old days), so that staff could keep track of any scamming (which was illegal then) and not rely simply on what somebody said (There was no real way for staff to monitor who donated to who as Chedburn was the only one then who could access the Donation logs).

Sniper and BK did not hold the early highest chain record of 300. SS or Sun held the highest chain record in the early days in one of their offshoot factions which achieved a chain of 203. They then changed their faction name to 203 (Sun203 or SS203) to commemorate this. Can't remember exactly which side it was, but was a massive achievement at the time. In the early days, very few people really understood how to chain. It was a slow learning circle that was hindered by the slow site and hence slow rate of attack. Blitzkrieg itself was destroyed as a faction much later on when Sniper was the only member, long after any of the real warring was done. Blitzkrieg also was not the first faction to be destroyed, many factions had been destroyed prior to that occuring. EP would be close to being the first faction to destroy another (no faction of repute, but destroyed nevertheless).

There is much more, too numerous to mention but nice to see some history

Nice reading.

When it comes to HT, they sure had an id lower than 100K. Have a look at my id, and i was a noob when i started in HT.

A couple of years ago i posted a big story about the old days. Seems i have lost it. Will be looking at the arcive

I've done some digging and there is threads (as I said earlier) in HT-archives that puts HT within the first year of Cheds age so that means HT (as smaller factions) were around the first year. I hope i can find some faction id's but i'm not sure i will find it. And a lot of HT'players ages is within that year. so it must mean we were started within that year.

I actually joined this game from a recommendation by people in Hattrick. I don't remember which player I actually lost interest in football altogether by the time I left Hat Trick.

I have been playing for 5 years now. I remember when I joined I was awarded free points because there was a major server crash in early 2007 that did a lot of damage to player data. All forums was talking about it. There was a minor one a couple of years later as well, but the back up recovered it to few days back.

The lag was unbearable. I remember buying points for less than 20K. I was aided by an HoF faction before in which I received by first DP. DP cost 1.5 million when I joined.

I am what I am because I am not what I am not.

Fun too some familiar faces.
Good old days:)

Certa got his palace from BK and the subfactions pooling money. Don't remember where he was prior to that.
Sniper confinced him to join BK, one of the things he would get was a Palace so his stats would get better faster.
I remember we had an entire bankplan for that so we could get the money asap.

BlitzKrieg was already around in year one.
Before the factions were introduced factions would organise on the forums, and as mentioned people would change their name to show what faction they were in.
When the factions were introduced it caused a bit of a problem.
Some factions were huge, so they had to make a lot of sub-factions to house everyone. This took some time, so people would get swapped in and out of factions when warring, just to keep the chains going.
Once subfactions got plentyfull the wars became so massive. Declare on one faction, declare on all the other sub-factions as well.... lol Always fun when you discovered you missed one or two

People in BK got fed up with the constant warring with SS (one of the reasons I left as well), so basicly BK died out, untill Sniper was the only one left in one of the factions, untill that was destroyed.

WW3 made TC explode, looked like everyone was fighting.
If I remember correctly 39th (and 37th?) sided with BK for some time.

Other things I remember...

Dogs and dogfights. Those were fun, still don't get it why they got removed.

Tim the Loanshark and the TC Bank.
Max out your loan with credits, borrow money from Tim. Put it in the TC bank... Profit!!!
Didn't take long for people to discover that. Did take some time before it was changed though... lol

Making fun of people that had 6 digit ID's and up

Memory is hazy, been a long time ago. But I was there on my old acount (7602), good old days... lol

All i remember is that the only 2 stats that mattered when attacking someone were off and def, speed and dexterity did not have any effect. And ofcourse the cityclickers
Other then that i dont recall much from those young and wild days :$

It was at this time that Baalsagoth left to form DA.

First, I joined BH with Avalanche.

We left a few months later, both sick to see THUGLIFE- using the cash stored in the faction (war fees and members savings) to build up his stats.

We joined the Red Pandas to help them. They were getting their ass handed to themselves by MoNKeY and his faction, Extortion. I solved the problem and Mr_A gave me the leadership. The faction then became A.

I think it was 5 or 7. Where the hell's Templar or Mr Banana-phone when you need them? lol

But looking at factions, IP is still around which I cant believe.

I'm still around :-P

EP's id was 8, IP is still around though, which has ID 32, yet most of the active ones have merged into SS at one point while we kept IP around, there is still a faction with the "EP" (7917) name around, these are mostly retired veterans.
TCH was the very first faction of TC, EP was the second. I could probably write a few books about TC history, but before doing that I should read this thread in his whole first.

I cannot confirm that we fought together with SS in ww3, I'm getting older too, I tend to forget things. But chances are high that we fought, even though that we did help SUN out at some point too, especially with snake & speedskater where high in the ranks there.

and whatever anyone says, the old times where the best times around ever! I miss all the EP/SS/SUN/39th action! Having a villa and 20k stats was a lot

People actually used to talk in #Lobby - you never would have been able to have a one-on-one conversation -too many people chatting at once- and now you can hardly find someone to have a conversation with.

That faction was the old SS-V (Vanguard) which me and Ghost used to lead. I remember finding old forum threads from TCW1, but those were removed later on. I also remember receiving a letter from Baals saying he had taken over the Pandas and was offering me a spot in the faction. Those times felt abit strange because we were a decent amount of people (I think 20) but we were only five or six using MSN Messenger to chain. And Baals wasnt too happy about this, he sold the faction around august or september of 06, but purchased it back afew months later.

He has been on top as long as BH was still running.

BH collapsed slowly

I guess it was meant to happen...

One after another we gradually left, sick to be chaining our ass off for no recognition and because of his decision to keep warring HT. While he was hardly chaining and buying parachutes after parahutes with our cash.

Clansy, Hooorang, MoNKeY, SexySassy... all of the active chainers have deserted BH.

MoNKeY fonded Extortion, Clansy went to Total Destruction (Domination ?) with Hooorang etc etc

Haha remember when the battle engine decided the more strength you had, the less chance you had of being hit. Strength was the ONLY stat worth training back then!
