We are a very new faction. Seven days old. We come from a top ranked faction and were its active chainers.
Everyday my faction chains against many factions. We hit each one at least 5 times. Our faction number is nine. By the algorithm 5 is all that is required. As you see we hit every faction we are warring more than 5 times: This is one faction that we had at 98%, acquired 248 respect and many hits. One hit to victory and I woke up to a failure yet again and now had to say something out of sheer frustration.
This is last night's attack on the faction Fiber Warriors. The night before is more of the same but I am not going to bother taking my time too copy more of the same:

I fixed a bug which was making the rules twice as strict as they were supposed to be.
Please remember not to be aggressive when making bug reports, or type/swear in capital letters. Really no need for it.
You still havn't fixed the error of a shit update.

It is true, he didn't even consult the committee, the whole reason there is a committee is to give feedback on these "ideas" of his!
If he had consulted them then he would have known how bad an idea it is.
What is the point of making the announcement about proposed changes, then only tells you about 90% of them, then never reveals any info on this "secret" update. It just frustrates people!

Actually the update was completely backed by the committee and I can see it being really successful. It was also planned after about three months of discussion. Also I should note, the change isn't completed yet. We're still waiting to move the 300 limit to 500, and playing with the algorithm (both very simple changes).

With your faction of 10, you'd only need to make 5 hits per day.
Yes ched that wasn't working though. But if you say its fixed now then I am cool with it all. The 300 versus 500 means nada to me and my group. Personally I think that is way too many targets to have to hit everyday. I came from #23 ranked faction and even there we didnt need 500 targets in a day.
I think the capping of xan was good. I think eliminating boring wars that go on and on was a good move. Now that it is correct that is.
We have a faction in our warbase that hasn't made a hit in over 24hrs not even one! We may have made the odd one or two but nowhere near the desired amount to continue under the previous algorithm!
Sorry if I should have started another thread but feel the description of the thread but perhaps not the OP match my issue!

But the committee voted in favor of the warbase increase, and you took that part out of it.

by bogie The idea of including defending wars in the count sounds good to me, but only if the limit is increased. I could see some trying to abuse this though to make themselves immune to war. So the faster removal of inactive wars should be an essential part of this, one cannot exist without the other in my opinion so lets not leave this half done and just 'see how it goes'; I'd rather not see too many redundant 'quick fixes' until warring 2.0.

So I got two negatives and 2 positives. If the warbase limit would increase to 500 , I can see a positive there. So I will do a positive vote with the increased warbase to 500 in mind.
Without those two votes, this would not have the 90% required.

Actually I can't see anywhere the committee agreeing, or even voting on the auto-NAP.

I bet all of us would love to share that glorious view you seem to have, but as for what the respect farming is concerned, it's just not working. At most, it slowed it a bit, like when you halved the self busting gains. Maybe when you get your system working, you could slash the respect of some, wouldn't even be a precedent because you did set lvl 100 as maximum after some people had already passed it, and you downgraded others because of too much exp being gained through slut defends.
Where does this come from? I mean, the idea that it's feeble to change your mind once it's made up. That's a wrong idea, you know. Make up your mind about things, by all means - but if something happens to show that you are wrong, then it is feeble not to change your mind. Its possible that they "stacked" some attacks on your faction.
So that's ment to explain how a faction can go 72 hours with no hits what so ever.
Apparently, factions can stack attacks. For example:
Faction A has 20 members.
Faction B has 40 members.
By the algorithm logic, this means that there only have to be 10 attacks made a day. If however Faction A hosps all 40 members, this would prolong the war for 4 days.
Hope that makes sense.
Faction Ninja has currently 35 members
Faction Ravage has currently 31 members
There was 72 hours (monitored by me) non combat followed by a total of nine attacks 1 from Ravage and 8 from Ninja there has
been another 48hrs and no further attacks from either side.
And yet a war that's been pretty active has failed!!
Surely there's a flaw in the algorithm or Is it because the faction we're fighting is in the top 100 or what??
Immediately need the agreed upon faction member upgrade to 500, remove the faction activity limits and it would be great to have the flexibility to change the NAP during the automatic 31 day period to allow factions to redeclare if desired. We are all losing so much time and effort from these lost wars, you need to compensate us for the lost time, effort, energy and reinstate lost wars as they were period. The ease of these changes does not forgive - the need is paramount to reestablish trust for us all.

So, do those wars get reinstated now with the numbers that we already had on them or are we out of respect bonus along all the coupons/cans/jobpoints that we used for additional energy?
I'm afraid not, that'd be incredibly difficult to do.
