Worse than just this, my posts come from a 'new player'. So I can post in Company, Global, Trade, AND New Players, but not my Faction chat. (Though I am clearly not a new player)
Even though in my options I have the global and trade chats hidden...

logged on and was in Evolution's faction chat posting as somebody in that faction. Logged out and logged right back in and was back in my own faction
EDIT: Faction chat is like a box of chocolates...never know what you're gonna get...

any resolution for this yet? i had to change my name due to the 3 others in my faction chat with my old name. funny, really funny but this *really* needs fixed.

This is happening to me too. I'm posting as Fate [71108] in his faction's chat.
EDIT: Logged out, logged back in... now I'm posting as SuPer_Mug [206352] in their faction's chat.
Happening in company chat, global, and trade chat as well. I've tried logging off and back on and closing the browser and clearing the cache and all that stuff. still posting as random other people.
EDIT again: after logging off for a couple of hours, I logged back on and was in the correct chat again with the correct name.
Edit yet again: it's happening to me on and off all day. I'll be in the right chat then the wrong chat and then faction chat will completely disappear.

I dont know how, but I entered in BC-Vulpes "Faction Chat", instead Nuclear Blast "Faction Chat".
And my nickname in chat is wrong too.

Happening to me right now. I've logged in and out a couple times now, and i keep getting stuck on the same name. Funny thing tho, I noticed it when my faction didn't have the same members, so I spoke and saw my name was changed. Then proceeded to have a conversation with some people from a different faction in their own chatbox, when one of the members there decided to fess up that he was also on someone elses name. Seems pretty widespread now lol.

I had  then I logged out some really random name, logged out and still had a different name I logged out 5 times before I got my real name.

Yup...I just posted in bugs as well....but Just found out that its been confirmed from another thread...Im not who i really am...lol
I can click on my proper faction, but faction chat is screwed up, im in the other factions chat, with one of their players name...lol

I just logged in and seen a company chat box but I am in education job atm. Also when I post in trade chat I am showing up as WR_Stone [1606981]
I logged out and in again and now I am showing up in trade and company chat as gurl660 [459767]
Now showing up on chat as Seno [384653]

Ive been about 11 different people within the last hour..
I think I know how it's done, it's something about mobile mode and full torn..
If you log on in full torn, open all chat tabs, then duplicate the page, log out and log in on mobile mode. Then go back to the first page and click the chat tabs...
That seemed to change mine back to normal, so maybe that's how you get 'bugged..'

I logged on earlier and as soon as I logged in a chat window popped up and it appeared to be a conversation going on between someone named kitty something or another and i think it was someone named kingdong or something like that...the messages that were being sent clearly werent for me but it was like i was seeing a conversation between these two people...i have never seen, talked to, heard of, or had any interaction with either of these players...after seeing the chat window though it made me think maybe i could talk to my spouse in chat since the mailboxes are totally broken and there is no info on whether or not they will ever be fixed or if this is just how it is now...so i click on my spouses chat window that i always have minimized and i typed a message to him but my name didnt show up as the person who sent it but it was the kitty something or anothers name that appeared with my message....i couldnt figure out what was going but every time i tried to send a message it was my words coming from my account but it was some random strangers name....a short time later my spouse logs on and he is getting the same type of thing...random chat boxes from total strangers and it appeared that he was receiving messages from strangers that werent meant for him but for someone else...but he did get the message i sent him but my name didnt show up to him either...just some random strangers name....
My advice to anyone using chat, DONT, there is no telling who is actually going to receive your message cuz chances are, its not going to be the person you are sending it to....this is ridiculous!
