[url=http://www.torn.com/preferences.php?action=settings&rfc=120]Click here and set [bNo One[/b] can revive you [/url]

It states in the torn wiki that all codes can be used together, yet this does not work :/

also is there a way to use <hr> in the bb code?

Gene, Gene made a machine, and Joe, Joe made it go. Art, Art blew a fart and blew the whole damn thing apart.

edit: right, got it to work, you have to use bold outside of the url, so this would be how you get around it:

[*url=http://www.torn.com/preferences.php?action=settings&rfc=120]Click here and set[/url] [*b][*url=http://www.torn.com/preferences.php?action=settings&rfc=120]No One[/url][/b] [*url=http://www.torn.com/preferences.php?action=settings&rfc=120]can revive you[/url]

remove the 4 * from above.

this is based off of html protocol relating to the url itself, so you are kinda forced to follow rules you aren't shown. unsure if protocol has changed regarding it, but i do know you can work around this the way shown above.

It's incorrect BBcode parsing on torn's behalf, you are quite able to have a html bold element inside of a html URL element. Proof: jsfiddle.net/REtZt/3/

right, does seem possible, and it makes sense too, always just remembered url had a few different rules but whatever i recall is most likely outdated or just wrong regarding the subject heh.

just recall having this issue most everywhere back in the day, though the two do work together presently, just not in all circumstances such as the original example.

This is a known issue, the BBCode parsing requires a total rewrite. In the interim it works about as well as possible given the crazy constraints.
