If you go to the Merits.php, and you only have one merit, the top will say "You have 1 merits to spend on anything you would like on the list below."
The other one is when you're in prison, and when you try to send a message to get out, it says "submit" as a button and not "Submit".

For the second, where is this exactly? In messages when you send a mail to ask for someone to bust you?
