Recently I received a GRN payout:

torndiv1.jpg

Although there appears to be a bug in the payout, I only received $3.5mil whereas Ched announced you get a payout on average every three months for a yearly average of 20% APR...

Okay so lets compare 5% (One quarterly payout) to what I actually got:

torndiv2.jpg

As you can see I have ~$700mil in GRN, so $3.5mil of $700mil is a pitiful payout of just 0.5%!

Why did I only get a 0.5% payout whereas I should have got something (along the lines of) 5%?

(Might help if you read this page before you answer: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dividend [Summed up: Dividend is a payout per share owned])

EDIT: Sorry about the screen stretch

It's 20% of the stock required to payout on the benefit. More stock does not mean greater payouts (it's the same as the item payout stocks)

Well then there is a wording bug/issue on the stock's info page, it's not a dividend if it is not $/share. More stock DOES mean greater payouts in dividends, go ask Wall Street.

I feel misled because the page clearly told me the benefit was a dividend, and thanks to wikipedia I know what a dividend is. If it's fixed/capped it's clearly not a dividend and needs to be reworded...

(EDIT: I'm sure others would feel misled if a page said an item was consumable but infact not consumable)

Infact it's not:

Lets compare LSC and GRN:

You are entitled to receive occasional packs of 100x lottery tickets when holding at least 100,000 shares.

Okay, thats pretty clear, free lottery tickets...

You are entitled to receive occasional dividends when holding at least 500,000 shares.

Oh no, theres the dividend word!! And wait, at least 500,000 shares?! f**k thats confusing...
-You cannot use the word dividend if it is not $/per share, it's definition. Stop misusing words.

It's the same phrasing...

You are entitled to receive XXXXXX when holding at least XXXXXX shares.
