So the new update allows you to buy merits. great!
It did not struck me before I started buying merits, but after buying 2 straight in a row and refreshed the page, I noticed the following:
The buying merit text says: "You have 201 awards consisting of 81 honors and 120 medals.
You have used 172 merits on upgrades and have 39 merits free to spend.
You have 10 additional merits and can purchase 17 more"
(I only bought 2 merits so far, so the original text stated: "You have 8 additional merits and can purchase 19 more")
If you add them together (19+8=27), you get indeed on half of my level(downscaled) (55/2=27,5).
But the thing here is, I never was able to buy any merits, yet it states I have gotten 10 additional merits already! (even my stats history tells me I bought 0 extra merits)
What I do see here is, I have 172 merits on upgrades, and 39 to spend (totals to 211)
So counting that, yes it would seem I've bought 8 extra merits somehow in the past.(bought 2 just now)
I do not recall any of this, pretty sure I was never wealthy enough to buy merits with points, and at the point when I could, I already surpassed the ability already to do so.
My question now is, where do those 8 additional merits come from, the merit screen totals indeed to 172, so it seems I have earned somehow extra merits, but I am pretty sure I never bought it. Is there a way to find out? Didn't we get like free merits with entering contests which gave merits as rewards before before the whole medal thing was implemented? and other activities which I might not recall anymore?
The bug here would be then: The additional merits count you can buy is faulty because the formula would be: Buy x merits = Total merits earned - (level/2), but it does not track the merits you've earned in another way that is not shown in the award section.
