occasionaly, peeps seem to get logged out, by the game......
is there a reason for this?
or is there a time limit?
It is particularly bad if you're playing poker and the game randomly logs you out.
It's BS that you get randomling logged out
Ched needs to think about keeping his players logged in rather than thinking about what might be a great update
It happens to me on occasion as well, but usually only when I forget to log off mobile is when I have this problem...game logs me out multiple times in succession. No clue though as to why it is happening.
wow im amazed the thread has yet to be graved by some of those corrupt "stuff"......no offence to those good and honest hardworking ones... yeah BMW this REALLY needs to be addressed.....
and maybe they want the poker players gone?
A good portion of Torn's money comes from the poker players.
I shouldn't have to click on Torn every few minutes to make sure I'm still logged in.
It had been like ten minutes since the last time I had click on my home page, so I know that isn't the problem....

All money in poker is transferred only player to player... Poker generates no money into the Torn City economy.

too many noobs, that have no idea how to play poker, are buying donator packs. I see it when I look at the items section.
You get to know who is playing poker.
there are times when I click any tab like gym, crimes, forums, and it automatically logs me off.

Also, does anyone know if Torn requires a minimum bandwidth? There is a certain wifi location I try to logon and play but it says internet connection times out... howver other websites work, even youtube.

Was happening to me all afternoon today, while I was on the server greed.
As suggested in the bugs forum... clearing cache or cookies did nothing.
Flushing DNS did work, as Im now on server envy with no problems.
I can make a sig for you just like this one for $1000.
peeps on dial up can play, so I don't think bandwidth has anything to do with it.

yeah, it's frustrating........
especially if you're playing poker and you have a good hand, then POOF, you're logged out.
if I'm training, it's only a minor inconvenience.
but, buying a tc pack, which turns into tc dollars, which in turn is how some noobs (or even older players) play poker, or bj.

If it was the game then it would effect everyone on certain servers, so chances are it is more a local issue...
For the devs to look into this they need more information such as your system, your browser, your provider and which server you were on at the time and what you were doing so they can try and see a pattern. Just saying "I got logged off" is as helpful as a chocolate teapot...

1. chromium (google chrome latest version)
2. clearing cache and dns flush -- yes
3. unknown server
the devs could probably get access to the logs that show ppl being logged off in under a certain number of seconds. i know that the stats track our logins, so i'm sure there is a datafile somewhere that has that informacion.
what i have been seeing is at random times the servers do log me off, and occasionally it gets really tough to even log back on. for instance, yesterday i didn't know if you guys had dumped me in a wall_garden sort of deal or something becuz it was really weird how i kept getting booted when i tried to browse away from the authentication page -- the one that shows the login widgets .../authenticate.php? or something like that. the servers would bounce me if i tried to click on any links within torn.
I use internet explorer, and I clean my cookies about 5 or more times a day.
I have no idea which server. probably greed
and 3 am is my time which is 11 am tc time
I have no idea what a dns is
and I was playing poker at the time
