On November 18, Ordnance Mafia declared war on Bloody Assassins.
When we finished attacking on November 23, we were ahead in the war at 53 or 54 percent, we were leading in respect gained and in attacks.
When we logged back in later that day (morning to me) we notified we had lost the war and Bloody Assassins had claimed victory. I checked the attack log, there were NOT enough attacks to make it possible for Bloody Assassins have had won the war.
We are, of course, concerned and would either like an explanation of how this happened, or if it is a bug, to have it fixed and have the war restarted at the point we were at. Ordnance Mafia would clearly have won the war.
I am waiting for a response from their leader and Bloody Assassin's best chain, which from what I remember, was about 130 before.
I understand what you are saying, but unles I can see their attack report I have no idea if they chained for the few hours we were off overnight.
They certainly did not do any chains on our faction. They hardly attacked us.
They did beat our junior faction Ordnance MafiaII while we were at war with them and I wonder if things somewhere/somehow got confused/mixed up.
If you require more information, I will gladly do my best to get it for you.
Addendum posted 5 minutes later:
From looking at the logs it seems like it was the attacks starting at 10 am that did it. I don't know how many 100 chains you can do in two hours or if 400 respect would be enough .
I don't know if this information is pertinent or not, but I got a mail from a member of the faction this morning telling me he was sharing his account. I felt I had to report the mail and he was fedded for 7 days for account sharing.
As you can probably tell, my whole faction is trying to figure this one out.
Addendum 2: My apologies, I just looked at Bloody Assassin's faction page, their longest chain was 104.
Their leader did not respond to my mail when she was online and I was out, and she has not been back on line.
Addendum 3: 6:11 a.m. TC Time: One of my faction members did some checking and it doesn't look like Bloody Warriors have 400 hits in their warbase.
Firstly the faction that filed the BR is a small faction so they'll (opponents) have their respect multiplier higher than normal.
I checked their logs and they've been chaining their arses off against Ordnance Mafia, claiming a lot of bonuses on them especially the higher ones (75 and 100).
So I mean I am not sure about the war specifics... but it makes sense they lost... Ordnance Mafia hasn't made chains greater than the 10 respect bonus one from the start of the war. So that will effect the war outcome too...
I feel convinced that the outcome was legit and not due to a bug.
I'm not sure, but we should have a few 25s and perhaps 50 against them. I wouldn't say they chained their arses of themselves. We were in the lead as far as I remember at 3:22 am and then we lost the war at 11:43 after being attacked at a maximum of 5 times.
Phawk's statement is correct. How can you chain your arses off against a faction with 5 active people???
Are you aware that there are two Ordnance Mafia factions. Ordnance Mafia and Ordnance MafiaII. We were both at war with Bloody Assassins at the same time. Ordnance MafiaII lost and did get chained a lot.
Then the bug would be that our war bar didn't update properly since it's unlikely they managed to get the required respect from just 5 hits.
Let's say that they had 3000 respect when the war started (this number completely hypothetical but considering they have 5,870 at the moment I would say that the estimate is rather on the safe side). For them to achieve victory if the war was 3% in our favour the night before it would take 752,25 respect., with 5 hits that would be 150 respect per hit which I find quite unlikely.
Realised that tired brains are bad at maths was but 75,45 is still a bit much per hit, even if one of them was with a 100 bonus
