Im not sure if this is a problem with Torn or a problem with my computer as I have recently upgraded to Firefox 8.
My chat boxes have disappeared and I can't get them to show up again. When I click on the chat link on the left hand side it says this,
Chat is not running. You can enable it.
However, when I click to enable it nothing happens.
Any ideas?

This issue was on my computer at work. I have just got home and the chat boxes are back so guess it must be something to do with my work computer. Not sure why it does it now though when I have never had the issue before.

I am also having the same problem, I have also just upgraded to firefox 8 ( I don't know if its browser related, but I thought i'd state it)

Even though my chat boxes have re appeared, I cant send a single thing. Firefox 8 seems to be a common theme here.

I can post in Trade and other public boxes - just private ones with other players won't work.
And I tried Firefox and Chrome too.

My chat boxes have just disappeared.
They haven't worked properly in days but have just now vanished.
If I click the Chat link on the sidebar that takes me here...
http://www.torn.com/managerooms.php
I get the line...
Chat is not running. You can enable it.
Clicking the link "enable it" does nothing.
EDIT:
Totally closing all instances of the browser has made it appear again.

I have absolutely no chat aswell...
Ive tried different browsers and all that but still no joy
if i go to chat it says "Chat is not running. You can enable it."
but when i try to click it nothing happens.....

Your work is blocking the AJAX callbacks almost certainly, sorry - nothing we can do about this
