I was about to attack, first I clicked my Melee weapon, but the attacking wasn't start, and I quickly clicked brick. then the attacking was end, it said I didn't have that weapon and asked me do not treat. ( some words like that)
When I went back to items page, I found my brick gone, and so was the energy.
is this a bug? thanks.

No, Brick is a one-use temporary weapon, not a Melee weapon.

the brick was on the temp slot
I first clicked melee ( I do have a melee), then clicked brick
