I signed on today. Clicked Gym, crimes, events then mailbox, as I clicked mailbox I got another event saying I found an item whilst walking around the city.

I hadn't even clicked on the city link :/

I'm doing custom graphics, see my bazaar for prices and mail for examples.

Is it possible you clicked the city before you logged out last?

It was possible, but it was nearly a day beforehand.

And the time I found it was 3.27 today, literally just after I logged on?

Walking around the city counts as anything in the city, i.e, Gym.
