At the times of lag on Torn, I am not usually allocating my bandwidth elsewhere. I mean sometimes I am, but even when I'm not, the problem persists. Also I have tried disabling all my addons (incl. greasemonkey) even temporarily taking off stylesheets (!!haha) to see if one of those were somehow doing something, ,but to no avail. Even with "Vanilla Firefox" same issue.
Chat will update fine when I'm having the lag, but if I try to send any message I will get the 'unable to send message' error, so it's kind of read-only (lol)
CityWatch will pop up and tell me it was unable to establish a connection to the server & ask me to re-login, which of course wont work until the lag lets up; whereas when I see a lot of people reporting lag, it's not as bad as I usually have, and CW does not log me out (it doesn't seem to update until after the mid lag goes, but it doesn't give me an error/log me out).
When a lot of people are reporting lag, I will a lot of the time get disconnected from Torn's IRC (I use mIRC), but when (AFAIK) it's just me experiencing the lag, I wont usually, unless the lag's so bad I just get the FF timeout page (instead of simply extremely slow loading).
AND FINALLY, when I get the FF error page "unable to establish a connection" (not just the lag AND other sites are working fine at the time) I go to a site like www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it tells me Torn is down, but if I check it again ~30 seconds later, it says Torn is up and of course it's working for me again - usually slowly (but I don't see people crying about it on the forums, so I figure wtf? Someone coughs in the city and there's like 800 threads in 2 mins, so if the server was really down where are the freakin' threads?!!); and of course anyone I ask says they had no problem and the site was up. Guess I shall ask them what server they're on from now on eh?
I have loads of lag... and after waiting for minutes I get an ERROR 50x page. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 refreshes to finally get the requested page... To get to the next page I have to go through the same ritual over and over again.

Yeah, often hotmail google facebook etc are working fine on a browser, as is torn... as soon as soon freezes, the entire browser dies, none of my pages will open, it seems in some way that torn entirely breaks the browser im on. Im sure you will deny this, but I have spoken to someone else who says exactly the same.
Also, its not coincidence that facebook and hotmail etc never ever die, but always coincidentally die 0.0001 seconds after torn freezes.

Heres my problem i was attackign another player while on vicodin my total energy was 25, i attacked it wouldnt let me make my first move, i sat there waiting for it to attack afetr i clicked my weapon, so i waited then nothing happened so i refreshed and nothign happened still, so i closed my browser and re opened it, and it said there was a 505 error or sometihng like that so i closed it yet again and opened another page and it loaded the main screen, i logged in and it said i succesfully ran from my oponent, when i never ran i was attacking... then when i got to the home screen i was negative 25 energy... therefore i was "jewed" out of 50 energy.. i want an answer and my energy back at least 25, because theres no reason i should be in the negative...

I have no idea, but I noticed many levels from 8-12 and age of around 500-900 days are sending a lot of messages, maybe a hack or a spam
i got banned from chat because the global chat i typed something and pressed enter and then it stopped and the i typed something into trae and it went to global and i got a warning and i didnt mean to post twice

Hmm I use several tabs so no real window stuck with and I tired different browsers so nothing consistent.

Definitely short bursts of lag, come and go. Sometimes it would be amazingly fast and thats when I rush to train and do crimes.

So I wasn't sure what the issue was I called my ISP we went through the basics and nothing odd was found. He said to try a different modem which I did and again nothing was changed. Other sites run fine, download speed unhampered, I am within my bandwidth, so yah oblivious to what the cause is.
I have virus checked my PC numerous times and even did a system restore.
Cleared browser cache, temp files, flushed DNS numerous times.
Also, City watch for me tends to reconnect a lot, most of the time it fails and occasionally it just gives up and I get the failed connection message. I don't seem to have this on my messenger.
this is stupid, clicking links in torn is fine and fast and right when it comes to attacking it lags, I do one hit and it freezes then I click my weapon again and It says I ran away from my enemy, seriously theres no way around it, so dumb
