I have had the same problem. I previously was doing level 18 crimes, and for the past couple of weeks haven't been successful. Now I'm down to level 11. Go figure.

I have had a 95% success rate on Arson--Warehouse for 750ish times. Suddenly I am failing at least 1 out of 4 times. I moved down to stealth virus and get 4 browns in a row. 35 natural nb with 25% success on stealth virus seems wrong.

I'm not saying that -Kriller- is right, but do you have any evidence proving that it is fact that his statement is a myth.
I've never seen a shred of reliable evidence to prove or disprove his statement.
I have personally noticed a drop in crime success shortly before leveling up or increasing my nerve bar, but I'm not willing to insist without evidence that the impending level/nerve gain is the sole cause, or even an attributing factor at all.
fly to china and visit the fortune teller to see if u are about to level up. also what crime did u fail. certain crimes give a huge exp loss, i lost my 45nb that i had had for months after failing 8-10 gta showroom. do thorough robberies or steal jackets to gain some exp back.
btw it took ~250 arson warehouse to get my 45 nb back and i lost it after 1,000 stealth virus crimes and 2500 thefts.

How did you lose it after only doing stealth virus and stealing jackets (I presume that's what you were referring to by "thefts" there). Both crimes are perfectly safe (no reds) so you should only be building up your crime exp with them, not losing it.
