i think they should have any merits gained from the competition removed as they not very fair is it

Of course it's fair - it's a valid tactic to keep yourself in hospital and they are paying a "lot" in trying to last out the month.
Quit yer whinin' and focus your efforts on trying to catch them out if the slip up instead - there's still 9 days to go.

I think they have used a valid tactic just like the people who went inactive abroad and they should be given credit for using their sense.

Not fair?
They use a ton of money to stay in the competition, using a fairly costly feature of the game to do their best to achieve a merit,all the while staying active. You could do the same if you bothered to, but you didn't.
It's hardly "fair" to prevent them from doing it just because you were to stupid, too poor or too lazy to attempt it yourself. Deal with it.

If it's good enough for the walking dead it's good enough for Torn. It's not like they removed themselves from existence like the ones that went offline. Any noob can do it with a month or so of flower running don't be jealous cause you're too lazy. Heck one noob IS doing it.

I would say considering the numbers against them it is a fair tactic. They only need to be out of hosp for 1 minute before someone can infect them.

Why should those hiding in hospital get the merit but those hiding abroad should not?
Although I think both tactics are pathetic, they should all receive the merit as there was no rule saying that they couldn't do this. Next year hopefully ched will do something about this though, or there will be hundreds in the hospitals. Ideally, zombies should be able to infect those civlians in the hospital much more easily.
