As for RAoV..thats a whole different animal. We voted on a merger with BAMF and became Evolution. I knew better then to leave leadership with Target and tried to get Two as leader but my emails where ignored. Then RAoV gets scammed and once again me and Scott are looked to to make things right. We made the decision to sell for a lot of reasons but one of the main reasons was the majority of the people came with us to Evo...so basically none of their hard work was in vein.
One thing a lot of people seem to forget is the benefit of steadfast and other abilities they gained from being in a HOF faction. Its true that the leadership or ownership get the equity from the sale but all those years of hard work where rewarded in being in the faction that had those upgrades. Not only that but in the early days me and Scott almost paid for every single chain with our own money whether it was drugs, revives, points or whatever. Its leaders right to sell when they flip the bill for years.
I hope no one in RAoV could ever say that about me and Scott.
Good luck in future endeavors and for the record we wont be trying to recruit any of you to our faction.
That's quite interesting imo, and tbh it just reinforces what I have been reiterating in my posts in the last couple of pages.
There was obviously circumstances that happened (whether that was enough to satisfy the selling off of a reputed HOF faction that has had years of history, is debatable I personally think it is outrageous to sell it off especially to a group that will most certainly ruin it with their cheating sadly). But as you said, it is eventually the leader's right to sell as you did, however tad ironical when in your next paragraph you slug off BB for selling off the faction and assume that it's not fine for him yet fine for you.

That doesn't hold true for all factions. I would never sell, and I consider the faction to belong to all the members, not just the leaders. In fact, I've left BAMF on a couple occasions, just passed leadership to someone else and moved on, and I know Todd did the same thing with RAOV, so you can be confident this will never happen with Evolution.
I'm sure most of the top factions would do the same, for example if Z_junior quit, JFK would still exist just with a different leader. HT, 39th, PT... all the same, leaders change but the faction goes on. Maybe that's the difference between the top factions and the rest, knowing that you are a part of a family and not just there until the owner decides to move on.
OT: As others have said, it's not really a shock that BB would do this, he's done it before and sure he'll do it again.

Potentially leaders will not sell their faction, however evidently from Todd's post circumstances change to the extent where perhaps what you may say now isn't always the case or the truth. Again, I reiterate it is sad to see these reputed HOF factions that have been worked on for years go down the drain and get sold by a leader. It is also important to understand that leader's views as you can see changes, so to mock one leader for doing and not another is pathetic imo.
At the end of the day, players/members to know full well that the factions the chain for WILL NOT last forever regardless of what they “currently” say, it all boils down to circumstances and price. Some leaders clearly are better than others.

Anyway, on topic - its silly to debate whether BB had the right or not to sell it, of course he had every right, its his faction. Sad part is that another long-term faction in TC got disbanded and thats something that happens very often lately with so many vets quitting or going inactive. I know Ched is into new players and all, but he should seriously look at making something, some sort of system that would keep the vets interested as well. Maybe a separate system for people that are over 1000 days old, something like vet perks, I honestly dont know. I just hope something is done.

Ive seen with several other online games that there has been a **** 2 version for new players, while still having the option to sign up to the origional (not drift between the 2 tho) maybe somthing similar can be done for torn, i'd explain more but im working atm
OT: BB owned the faction, he decided to sell it, good on him it was his faction to sell.

The idea of that it wasn't "disbanded" is a tad far fetched, ofc it was both factions did lose members and if not that interest was definitely lost. And yes he did sell it whether it was for the greater good is still relatively besides the point imho. Again, I mentioned earlier in my posts that leaders will sell the faction because of 2 main points and those 2 points were met here. I am not denying that "circumstances" and a "decent price" wasn't met... and ofc he is by all means well within his right to sell it. If the only solution to "the going gets tough" is to sell it... then I suppose one must think twice before joining any form of faction (which is the point I've been getting at. Alas, I have posted here a tad too much , it's been pointed out to me more than once now. But it's essential though to realize that leaders WILL almost always call it quits and opt as you stated for the easy way out of "selling off" earning a quick buck. Contrary to what JJ posted, it will always be done unfortunately, and you really need to be wary of it when you spend billions on FHCs/Cans/drugs etc and most importantly energy. Now, with all that said (tad late? ) Todd is a great guy, Target is amazing, the leadership of RAoV are fantastic however I do not agree with what they have done and I find it silly to attempt to cover it up as for the "greater good of the faction" because that is obviously rubbish.
Nonetheless, RIP WOTW (one of the first factions I have personally warred against when I was in Ninja) and more importantly RIP RAoV.

If I were to quit, I rather pass down my leadership to a loyal member who has proved himself within the faction to take m place. This faction was built from ground up so to me it is priceless.

Yeah...i sold it. Dunno why the person who bought it did though - she has only logged on twice since buying it. A waste of 9bil lol. Difference was, I only bought it to flip it.....was hoping on a quick sale but took 10 months to get the right offer.
And we were beating you....and you were all complaining till.....aw screw it. Cant be assed to do all that again! Im sure we will meet again sometime - and i know i will make you all cry to JFK again!!!

RAoV was never all that good. It was just fun, and belligerent.
RAoV wasnt elite of the elite for years...but as Rob stated we had fun..and our chains where pretty insane with the shit talking, abusage of alcohol and porn made it a ton of fun

haaaaa the good old days ZinQ!!!! I put a lot of efforts in Zen Factions and Inquest. I decided to move on afterwards and met some incredible new friends but my heart will always be a true Inquest member.
Lets be perfectly blunt and honest here. WoTW may have been a home for its members, they may have valued it highly, but when it comes to the history of TC factions, its a non-player.
Had it not been for BB being in there, the faction wouldn't be known to most.
It has not been around for years. It has not been involved in some of the recent great termed wars that have happened. Its been an average faction with one exceptional member.
WoTW has not had the impact of the big factions such as 39th, JFK, HT etc. It hasnt even had the impact of the smaller but chain freak factions like DA or Ninja.
Most people in 3 months time wont be going "What ever happened to WoTW".
I am sure BB will start a new faction, a lot of the same people will join again. they will pick nice simple wars against smaller factions and build up a lot of respect and steadfast. And then BB will sell it and we will see this thread.

That must have been more than three years ago. While I was around, it was 180 per month / six per day. For a while it was respect gain instead, but it encouraged bonus hogs & it was switched back.
Also when on personal vacation it was zero. When on faction training breaks (1-8 weeks) it was also zero.

we have chained are asses off a points , but try do it like Bitwa said we have HOF factions constant war us , when we are chaining or training !!

What people don't seem to often get is that the fac is owned by 1 person no matter how much work others put into it and when they sell it it's theirs to sell.
what a horribly stupid thing to say, even though 1 person owns it, it would have gone no where if he did not have members to help chain and gain respect, not the best way to look at things there beerstein.
What makes a faction is its members, not its owner.
He never said it wasn't the members that make the faction.. Because that is true; but he is right, Leadership only highlights one name on this game.
