We’ve released a number of updates to the live chat system. We listened to what everyone had to say, and have been working on it since.
Player to Player chat – You can now start a chat with anyone (or leave them messages) by clicking the chat icon in their profile. You can also create a chat group by clicking chat on the sidebar, so multiple people can join a unique chat room. At the moment, there are no restrictions and everyone can chat with everyone. This isn’t a great deal as you can close personal chats very easily by clicking the close button. We are working on settings which will only allow your friends to chat to you, and an ignore function, these will be coming very shortly.
A number of fixes have been made on chat which should help create a completely live and seamless chat environment.
We hope you all give it a second chance! All reasons not to use it should now be gone.
If you notice any problems at all, please post in the “Bugs & Issues” forum in the relevant thread.
