Oops. Assumed 'merged' meant that the two lists would be actually merged, and now I lost all my tags. I'm sure I won't be the only one who skim-read Chedburns announcement and assumed he'd think things out properly to achieve a minimum of disruption. I should know better.
Also fwiw something like this might be a minor change to some, but your list of contacts is a fundamental part of the game, and should be done right.

That at least is down to a simple calculation - what % of the time do they OD, and does this offset the gains they get in stats from using xtc. It will lower the point at which it makes sense to switch to xanax though.

You can now check the boxes in your friends and enemies lists to tag those people. This is a much easier system which now does not require a list of tagged people, preferences, and links everywhere. We’ve also changed the colours of your tagged friends/enemies. Friends will appear green as usual, enemies will appear different shades of red. Lighter red/green – the more recently active. There is no limit to how many people you can tag, as long as they are on your friends or enemies list.
We’ve also changed the Ecstasy overdose. Before, an overdose would cause your whole friends list to be deleted. This lead to people not even using their friends list. You’re now safe from ever losing your lists. We’ve modified the overdose to deduct energy instead.

I made it in time to save all my friend/black/tag listers. Unfortunately, I find this new system is not an update, it's rather an rollback. It's a downgrade. I said those words due to those reasons:
* Supposing I had saved 150 people in black/friend/tag lists, after this new "update" I lost 50 people.
* From now on, a person MUST be either a friend or an enemy to be in the taglist. Why can't it be just in the taglist without being a friend/enemy?
There are lots of people I'd like to track their activity, however I don't treat them as friends, and neither I treat them as enemies as well. I feel they just don't deserve to be in my friend/black list, but being just in taglist - simply it's ok.
From now on, we'll have to forget such ambitions.
* There are some particular people that I want to be in my taglist. However, those people haven't been in my friend/black list, so, supposing my friend/black list is full, I'll have to delete a real friend or enemy and add in their place that ordinary person which I have to trace his activity.
To sum up, some of the above mentioned reasons has made me to make a conclusion that this "update" was realistically the rollback. I personally did not like it.

My opinion must not be taken into consideration in case any person were affected and/or influenced by it.

well this upgrade as you call it has happened.. i personally dont like it.. all the people i had tagged have gone and even the people i had tagged to attack are gone.. they arent on any of my lists |
I'm in the same boat. Geez, I do not have all the tag people anywhere. geez:(
edited to add this:
I wish they would let us know way before. Like run ad in newspaper, you will lose your list of tag people on such and such date!

They did post an announcement. I disliek it becuase i don't know if someones in my friends list or black list, they are oth RED it doesn't look as good now.
FYI ched this was an update that definatly made me cringe. What happened to that racing update which i got excited about? I've not heard any news from it, devote time to that and rollback the tagging update thing.

If you have someone on your friendlist and tagged, you must untag them before you remove them from friends or they will remain tagged even tho they are no longer on your list.
De -friending will not untag them. This may be the loophole many are hoping for.. if you follow me

We were given ample time to make a copy of our tagged list which I did at the time of the original announcement understanding we were going to be down to 100 people we could track instead of 150. I also have people who are tagged that are on neither list. I don't think this will keep people from using ecstasy as some have suggested due to the loss of energy. You already have to go to Switzerland to regain happy and energy will build whilst doing that. It is also suggested that people would switch to xanax sooner? I think not. The only reason druggie's use ecstasy instead of xanax is the cost difference. I already make an archived copy of my 3 lists daily in case there is some problem with Torn so this update doesn't affect me negatively or positively. Good luck all!

Can we have a vote so we can roll back to the better original?
Tagging is more difficult and requires more steps and loosing 100e? I'd rather not.
The old way of tagging was to look at someone profile and click tag. Simple. Now i have to look at their profile click add as firend/enemy click save and then tick a box.
