Mine keeps saying I'm offline every few seconds and I have to refresh the page constantly if I want to use chat.

can we users open our on chat rooms and invite friends only too it or who ever, allowing people that we want to join private chats with us without being in company or faction????

Tonight we have pushed some significant updates to chat, following on from user feedback.
There are many bug fixes, but the following are significant:
- Chat is now enabled for all users
- Chat will now not refresh between pages, making it hopefully vastly smoother.
- There is the promised option to close and manage closed rooms ("Chat" link in the sidebar). It is not possible to close faction and company chat, but they can be minimized.
- On the login page, there is a toggle link to "Mobile torn". This is at the moment purely a way of disabling the new chat system (which may not work on some mobile phones). In future, we may add other things specifically designed for mobile phones for users of this option.
Feedback is of course welcome. We really appreciate your feedback during the brief beta test of chat earlier in the week, and have acted on as much of it as we can.

Update: The bug that caused the redirect to break sometimes if you directly accessed a URL is now fixed. |

I'm logged in to "Full"
Got EVERY box checked to "Open"
And I'm STILL not getting anything. ..
I've done the logging out, F5... Hell, I've had those boxes checked for days.. Even NOW when I go in they're STILL marked!

what the heck, now I cant open a link in a new tab or window in Firefox without getting a 404?
this sucks, I am basically crippled while being unable to use more than one window at a time, i cant even collect bounties now

The 404 is annoying. Completely removes the ability to post items to the market quickly.
What I don't understand is that the current set up requires more server resources than were required before. The HTML/CSS is sloppy and redundant. I would think streamlining the required number of clicks and streamlining the size of pages would be a priority and goal. Less resources required means less server costs. Oh well, I don't pay the server bills.

We need a better chat, but i prefer that chat than no chat. If u dislike it don´t use it. But i use the chat. No removing plz. I think a commercial channel can aliviate the spam in global channel.
