Although it of course didnt make everyone happy,it somewhat calms the masses just to know what is going on. In the future I suggest that once a problem occurs make an immediate post so people know that the powers that be know a problem exist. Will avoid massive bug reports/forum post.:@

who cares if you lost some/all of your personal stats you can get them back pretty easily. They aren't going to change your personal stats back to what they were because all they can go by is "he said she said". If thats the case they are on then shoot me over 5000 defends and 5000 runaways .

FAIL, the problem is much deeper then just the data reset, mine are stuck at zero and not moving.

They can't predict everything in a game. That's what's good about Torn.
Thankfully I haven't ended up too badly, just a few of my communication stats zeroed. I couldn't notice anything else.
For certain things, especially the merit related ones, it must be really painful.

agreed... seeing your stats is pretty pointless unless you are really obsessed -- on the other hand I agree those who want to do this should be able to!
stats count towards getting merits dont they?, im not sure, anyway thats the only reason id be bothered about the stats data being re-set.... if this is the case i suggest peoples 'awards' are backed up at least on a monthly/weekly basis and that if there ever is a personal stats crash again the stats can be calculated by the awards a person has! you may loose a few points/kills in your stats but you wont have that much to re-earn.

First of all, thanks for the info, keeping us curious forum-goers informed is great
I haven't noticed any zeroing of any of my personal stats, as least as I can tell (I've got some stats in each section, and zeros for ones like personals added etc. which is normal) but yeah, at least there actually were backups
