The fun is going when you are becoming so frustrated so often. I couldn't recommend this game to anyone when these things are happening and i do appreciate the hard work people/staff do, but everyone is aware that this game is highly profitable so cash can't be an excuse. Get the qualified people and equipment required to give TC a future.

Over the past 48 hours there has been serious Lag on Torn,
We have found and resolved the root cause of this problem. |
The lag is back with a vengeance, so who removed the solution and why?

nope its worse than it was before, doesnt matter what server or what protocol error you get displayed "nginx error!" what is this....more friendly?
Dont pass us off with bull messages that hundreds of n00bs will reply with lordy messages of thx to Ched and the staff without knowing wtf is goin on
Yes the staff prolly do a good job keeping the game running and MOD'ing the forae etc but they cant defend a game that makes masses of money that they dont see and servers and response times that have massively underperformed now for a long time.
I dont pretend to know a lot about IT or servers but I do know that nothing has been fixed from my user paying end, indeed anyone that plays poker will tell ya that only a few servers allow decent response and they are mostly innaccessable.
Do we have any plan in place for planned downtime to sort this mess out? As dont see any point wasting my time on pc or mobile waiting for nginx error messages........very frustrating and totally a waste of my time so please stop it and sort it out....there I said it.

You think at 50k a month, Ched would at least be able to sort out a lag problem, instead of fixing it, it's got worse. Stop counting the cash and get it sorted is what i say.

I managed to suffer thru some lag getting 3 crimes done, then I started in on the gym. Got six of them before getting this on my crimes page.......

So I do a copy to bring it up here and when I clicked on announcements, I got it again.
I'm getting stuck on ww2, if that makes a difference. I've rebooted so many times the last few hours trying to get a different server, but to no avail.
This is getting to be a big PITA!!!!! lost 4 million just calling preflops yesterday in poker before TC decided it was time for me to time out.
It's time for Cheddy to quit working on updates and find the source to this lag and fix it, forever.
PS can I change my vote for this thread?

TC seems to be working ''normal'' for like 80% of the time I log in.
The only thing is the lagg ( around 5 seconds per page, this has been this way since you started ''updating and stuff'' a month ago) and poker which causes unknown time-outs (while people just play, its the game ignoring their moves) and this message I get the rest of the 20%

it does not run smoothly and hasn't for a long time
i play other games that have more crap to do , and more complex yet , i do not lag.
i would hate to have to quit, but it takes to much time just to log on or gyms and crimes
its beginning to be not worth it
and how are we supose to war with all this lag?
its sucks as it is just to attack, that even takes forever
this needs to be resolved seriously if you want to keep peeps playing!

There has not been an update for a long time so he dont have that excuse either. We are still waiting for the Spring update if my memory serves me right.
I feel we have all just been left here paying money into the Ched coffers
