Hi Everyone,
Over the past 48 hours there has been serious Lag on Torn, and significant numbers of you have experienced "504" or similar errors.
We have found and resolved the root cause of this problem.
In addition, we will shortly be rolling out a system that will
- Provide more friendly errors messages, branded with the rest of the site
- Provide increased monitoring at a site level of the error rate to ensure we can respond quickly when error levels rise
- Provide increased information to us on the cause of errors
The occasional error page is inevitable in any large site, however the experience over the last few days has been unacceptable and we apologise for any affect this may have had on your enjoyment of Torn!

Are there any plans to credit people with a couple of Donator days to make up for those lost during the down time?

Anybody trying to login to www.torn.com instead www.torncity.com would disagree that the problems are "fixed". I've been trying to get online all day before accidentally using an old bookmark on my handheld. Torn.com still has that bloody nginx error.

There was no down time. Nobody should have been unable to play at all. Only lag was present. I suggest you check your own end in the future if you had more extreme problems in relation to everybody else.
