10% of the answers said that they agreed/strongly agreed that games were bad for children.

I'm guessing they were all American, because we're the only ones that thick-skulled.

Seriously, if you give an 8 year old a violent game like GTA or Postal to play for a week, and then come back a week later and hand him a real gun, he won't shoot anything other than maybe trees and frogs or birds.
Normal people aren't going to treat murdering real people the same way they treat murdering pixelated 3D images, and the people who do either wouldn't hurt a fly (doesn't kill either), or is a sick, twisted person who I'd probably like to party with sometime.

wow, i think its funny now that i go back and read eveyones comments. apparently the system is messed up or we have several liars. people just wanting to be one of the few? i guess there is actually like 6 people so far that choose "to pass time" as the "From the following, of which is the main reason you play Torn?" guestion. why cant people just tell the truth. lying isnt cool people. lol

"Bad" for children doesn't mean they're going to kill somebody. Games can make them neglect real life and I would agree that it's not very good for their mental and physical development to spend half of the day with their computer.

Hmmm, 50% of the players are above 21 years old.
60% spend under 1 hour on this game.

49% affirmatively say games should be limited for children and only 25% say no. weird

about 60% don't read the forums (either never or once a month)
and 77% don't post in the forums.

Only 17% are interested in email based torn city newsletter. So we don't need any email newsletters, I agree.

63% never made a donation to torn city. My country is not on paypal so i can't donate.

64% or about 14.8 K know about the in game reward scheme. This is close to those who vote everyweek and make use of the 1 point or 15 casino tokens.

65% are not interested in torn city merchendise. I am interested if you can ship to my country.

I am what I am because I am not what I am not.

I just love all the people saying "Yay we finally get customer feedback!" ...

Maybe I was given a different quiz than the rest of you, but mine was an extremely blatant marketting ploy to discover Torn's demographic. None of the questions were about customer feedback at all, which is why I chose NOT to complete it in the first place.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the some changes implemented to the game over the next bit, whether it be subscriptions or in-game banners and ads targetting teens living at home with their parents. Maybe even NPCs mailing you in-game telling you "Oh man, the new Harry Potter movie is just so awesome, I just can't stop talking about it." If nothing else, that's a ton of marketting data that they can sell to some OTHER company.

There wasn't even one single question that could be used to give feedback about Torn as it is, like:

"How impressed with Torn's server uptimes are you?"
"How do you feel about the stock market?"
"How do you feel about the casino?"
"Are you happy with legalised scamming?"
"Do you think Dubai will actually help the economy?"
"Do you think drugs are overpowered?"
"Do you think drugs are overpriced?"
"Do you think drugs have enough side effects?"
"Would you like to see dog tags return?"
"Do you feel that there are enough missions?"
"Would you like to see more special events?"
"Would you like to see more clear stats on weapons?"
"Are you happy with Torn's choice of weapon selection?"

Instead, everybody's like "yay Ched" because they voluntarily got to tell him and staff what sort of person they are, how much they make a year, how much of that they're willing to give to him or spend on upcoming merchandise, and what publications they read (hmmm ... geee ... I wonder who wants THAT data).

Everything here is viewable by the public.

Games are not bad for children because it helps with their hand to eye co-ordination skills and seeing as computers are in every office is it a bad thing for kids to learn and associate with them from a young age?

Time on them should be limited but they certainly are not a bad thing

it isn't that people don't care about the forum so much as people don't care about a forum that is 97.8% empty padding of "thanks" "me too" and other crap to increase post count.
