I want my merits back too. What time limit is that? I post this for the sake of posting as i know it's not going to change anything, anyhow. But at least I add to the number of players who want back their merits.

I have a bank investment that isn't due to mature for another 80 days or so. Am I able to retrieve the merits I used to increase the interest rate even though my account will not be completed until then? And, if I do that, will my current investment interest rate be reduced auto magically and applicable to my current investment?

Investment rates have been lowered. The new rate is now 1.25 per week as oppose to the previous 1.40 per week. This new rate will fluctuate every now and then by very slight amounts so we can raise/lower the rate over time if we need to. People who require their merits back will see a new link on the merits page:
Return my 'Increase Interest' merits (Only available until March 12th)
Forum change
Users can now rate threads with a thumbs up / thumbs down which will give it a rating.
We’ve also added forum score which should be quite interesting. If it doesn’t work, then it doesn’t work and it’ll be removed. You will gain and lose score depending on how you use the forums. Forum score is only gained/lost in the public forums, not company/faction forums. Being active in the forums and creating intelligent threads will boost your score dramatically.
+ 5 For making a new thread

Ched your useless. sorry but you are,
i missed this post and it is unfair that people should lose out due to your appauling administration skills. Something like this should have been pinned to the top of the forum, and possibly a player wide mailbox notice, to point out that it is here.
You really have no clue in player administration or management. You have the facility to do it but yet you seem to be intent on causing as much chaos and distruction as you possibly can.
This was a major update and affected the majority of players, it should have been more widely published and a longer time limit of atleast 1 whole month should have been in placed.
I myself like many others rely on the newspaper to read of such happenings, as thats what i thought it was there for?????
We dont all have time to read all the posts in the forums and it is madness that you expect us to do so.
Pin the important ones and give longer for people to read them. Fishing for announcements on pages 2 & 3 is unacceptable especially when the post was written by yourself.

Sorry Ched but this rating system is a total crap!
I had two topics locked because i ended the deal in Trading Post and i got a lovely 40 negative points.
Now when i start dealing with people they think i'm untrust or just stupid, maybe both (i can be, they just don't need to know).
Was this the reason you had accept to add this to the game? I don't think so.
If you don't want to change it all, at least change the part of locking the ones that have the decence of make everyone know that the deals ended!

LAME idea.... and thanks for letting us know about this downgrade! i now have 45 merits wasted in bank interest (which was the only useful thing to spend merits on). Feel like actually adding the get back bank interest merits link and making it OBVIOUS!!! not so we find out weeks later!
just leave the bloody link to get merits back there... is that so hard??
So thanks again for the downgrade... tc will be back to beta testing soon at this rate
