Why was there even a time limit on claiming back banking merits? the game messes up and starts super-inflation then we get our merits stolen! Just to make it look like the TC economy is fine.
Also it is still possible to upgrade bank further I believe, so if someone still missed this they can still waste a merit.
so basically:
GIVE US OUR MERITS BACK!!!

Wow, that's really stupid setting a timelimit, and still the intrest link is there, its really not hard to delete a link, takes a second, then you just saved hundreds of peoples of merits. And having no time limit will not hurt anyone, and give 100s more their merits back.. But im guessing this will never happen. Nice too know Ched would rarther have hundreds of angry players, than spend 5 seconds deleteing a link and putting back in another one.

that's a freaking nonsense... i can't believe that there is so many idiots? what's the freaking point to put a time limit? I've just read about it in a newspaper... recently... anyway if next time u decide to put a time limit on it, just make sure and MARK IT AS AN EVENT for everyone!!!! doesn't take to long and everyone is informed the same day... OR Make it as mailbox message... next time not just sit on your braniest part... use it for thinking!

The first i new about this is came from todays news paper as i dont read forums often and the link closed 14 days ago now im stuck and cant get merits back......why not just send out a game mail like for the stockmarket |
I dont really agree with the interest change, but everyone when they log in TC sees the same first page, which lists all the new announcements,takes just a second to glance at it and know about these things.

Investment change
Investment rates have been lowered. The new rate is now 1.25 per week as oppose to the previous 1.40 per week. This new rate will fluctuate every now and then by very slight amounts so we can raise/lower the rate over time if we need to. People who require their merits back will see a new link on the merits page:
Return my 'Increase Interest' merits (Only available until March 12th)
Forum change
Users can now rate threads with a thumbs up / thumbs down which will give it a rating.
We’ve also added forum score which should be quite interesting. If it doesn’t work, then it doesn’t work and it’ll be removed. You will gain and lose score depending on how you use the forums. Forum score is only gained/lost in the public forums, not company/faction forums. Being active in the forums and creating intelligent threads will boost your score dramatically.
+ 5 For making a new thread
+ 1 For making a reply
+ 1 When someone gives your thread a thumbs up
- 1 When someone gives your thread a thumbs down
- 10 When a staff member deletes your reply
- 10 When a staff member moves your thread
- 50 When a staff member deletes your thread
- 20 When a staff member locks your thread

what i dont understand is why there are still people complaining every day and there is nothing being done...
what happened to the tc administration?
i remember when a user suggestion had a chance of being added to the game....
and i user complaint or should i say 100's of complaints made a difference...

Um well I have a quick question to be adressed. I just read this forum today after seeing a story in the newspaper a week ago about the bank intrest. I guess I missed the period where one could get back the merits they spent on intrest. I still have a bunch of merits into that and wanted them back, not sure if that can be done now or not, but if someone can let me know either way I would appriciate thier time to do so. Thanks so much and keep on rocking TC!!!!

it;s good but i think ched, you are making the game much more realistic which you try to make it much like real life,
but however, it makes the games bit less boring because, this is a game, making it too much realistic makes the game bit boring.

i missed this post and it is unfair that people should lose out due to your appauling administration skills. Something like this should have been pinned to the top of the forum, and possibly a player wide mailbox notice, to point out that it is here.
You really have no clue in player administration or management. You have the facility to do it but yet you seem to be intent on causing as much chaos and distruction as you possibly can.
This was a major update and affected the majority of players, it should have been more widely published and a longer time limit of atleast 1 whole month should have been in placed.
I myself like many others rely on the newspaper to read of such happenings, as thats what i thought it was there for?????
We dont all have time to read all the posts in the forums and it is madness that you expect us to do so.
Pin the important ones and give longer for people to read them. Fishing for announcements on pages 2 & 3 is unacceptable especially when the post was written by yourself.
Ched, Pin it and give people chance.

What makes no sense. All merits to do with interest should have just been removed automatically from ever user. So that they could just use the merits towards something else, instead of all this headache!

We all know that nothing is going to be done about this, pretty useless to complain.
I just wonder if it's so hard to leave the link up to get your interest merits back?? as far as coding goes this is 101 stuff that requires no time or skill.
Is it harder to remove the dumb, useless and "still there" link to upgrade the bank interest?? I see no reason why to leave it there, new players will see it and make use of it, if it's disabled, good but get rid of the link, seriously.
Some of the stuff that is seen on this game makes the developers look really inadequate and incompetent.
