This new stockmarket system sounds really interesting, but there are a few questions that appear not to have been addressed.
Firstly, will the long term investors (those that already purchased their shares) be automatically be rolled into this new system or will they have to buy those shares again subject to the new prices?
Secondly, will the long term benefits continue from the date that it was originally purchased or will it be restarted from the day that new stockmarket changes occur?
Any clarification on these issues would be much appreciated.
Hmm O.k...... I just noticed this announcement and have spent the last 10 minutes taking the proposed idea 'essay' in to my spacious 6 feet of nothing brain. Being a long term stock investor I hope this idea works for me since chedburn did say that you will gain by being a long term investor, However I'm a little weary of the idea though..... I was happy making about 17 million a month from my stocks.... But oh well we shall see how this goes?
i started investing with people to make money in this game and finally get a privet island but now that the stocks charge a persentage its sucks cause the dont invest anymore
This stock was bought less than 6 hours ago, there will be a 1% charge when withdrawing.
Deductions apply below.
I Want to know what will happen to the money i have in for stock specials and how the prices will be affected! also how the stock specials will be effected?!
Also who is going to buy my shares of 1B for example when they have rose 10% on a spike'?
surely this is going to eliminate all profit because no1 will buy and
what happend if i sell my 1B of shares while im offline because it took so long to sell...then i could be mugged of millions before i come back on in the morning?!
needs to hold somewhere safe surely and theres no scope for large sums of money here...small amounts will easily be sold but not large ones?!
By LeukyBear [83808] You cant set an ammount on it that way kyle... the "market" is actually hidden and you cant see who buys or sells.
You can however trade between other users for whatever price you agree upon.
then what's to stop me from buying 1 share of WLT for 5 billion from a friend, who then returns my 5 billion? so I get the benefit for free?
Because your share is based on how much the market value of the stock is worth, not what you pay someone else for it.
errr. leuky, sorry to stop you there but what happened to (and i quote) " - Users may be able to trade stock transactions with each other, for whatever prices they want."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but by that logic, you buy 5 billion worth of WLT, the value drops and you no longer qualify for the benefit, due to the market value being less than the required amount.
So in effect, the only way to get the benefits would be to invest 3 - 5 times the amount stated (to cover against a major downturn).
Haven't read all the comments to see if this has been suggested, but could we maybe have the option, upon putting our stock up for sale, of choosing to only allow prospective buyers to purchase all of our stock that is for sale in one transaction?
That way, if our person with 1,000 stock in BAG wants to make sure he sells all of them at the current price or none at all, he can do so - similar to how points work?
