It's about using a little self restraint. The more you bet the more you stand to lose. If losing a lot of money doesn't appeal to you don't make big bets.

i don't care much for this change, i am a big fan of the Blackjack table because the amounts are more impressive. I'm not much on the small change given back by these parts of the casino. you usually lose your money in these games, at least with Blackjack if you lose it the first bet its possible to make twice as much back with one of the following bets. and the bet amounts are endless so its the blackjack table for me. I believe a lot of people feel the same
