I signed up to that today and just by having a quick look around I saw that there was much more on there than this here. And I can see where everyone is coming from when they say that Chedburn copied H0b0 Wars.

I dont agree with sueing compitition that bears a threat to this game. Thats like Burger king sueing Mcdonalds( one thought i had at the moment) because they also created round burgers.
It's one thing to sue if they directly steal but sueing because it has things in common with torn? Noooo
..They had taken many of our designs and ideas, in some cases even images and HTML code.
Using some bits of HTML code here and there isn't against copyright. In the web developer community it is encouraged to learn from others code.
This is a warning to all TC copycats, and webmasters that use the popular ‘mccodes’ which goes against our copyright conditions… We are watching you.
Also from what I have read about mccodes just then you stated yourself Ched that TC is a custom engine, so using mccodes in general isn't against any copyright conditions.
MCcodes existed before torncity there for the mods and the engine before torncity was created are NOT copyright as mods such as level upgrade link existed before torncity.. however copying the html code and item images are a breach of copyright also taking other peoples ideas is not illegal torncity was based on other ideas as was alot of games if no one copyed any one elses ideas the great mods that exist today wouldn't. i dont agree with copy right and i never have or will. however the owner of a site cannot be sued for "stealing" ideas. personally i think mccodes is a waste of time and alot of websites use it so unless you edit it on an amazing scale all mccode source sites look the same this is why i design my own engines and images. who ever decides to copy some ones html source be aware you can be sued.. as same for images.

If that was directed to me, as I am a Level 1, I am not acting as if I know everything. I get a lot of my information from CE and decide to share some of it here.
And then some of it is common sense which everyone should know.
frenzee it wasnt towards you. you made a good point. It was directed at all the noobs who were coming on here and saying random stuff or talking about other games and stuff, and pretending they know everything about mccodes and copyright etc.
Ched what about starting a Torncity2, It is very difficult to compete against some of these guys who have been around for 1000 days more than I have... I think a lot of use would join a tc2, as most of us play multiple games... Maybe have some small differences?!?
