I think your right USA dockman341, evrybody who is one star in the company is below an employee who has been inactive for almost 20 days
That is what I have found everytime I see a group of employees stars go down. I have now set up 1 day inactive and they are unassigned, 2 days don't get paid and 3 days they will be out of a job unless they tell me they are on vacation or something like that.

I've noticed that too, and have just put all inactive employees as the jobs at the bottom of the list, whilst I tried to find active employees t replace them.
I think the ched or the administrators should explain the rules of effectiveness. I have dropped to 1 star and I don't understand why. How can you be a good employee if you don't know what to do?

It's because someone above you (evild00d) has been inactive for other 1 day, so that causes everyone below him to have their effectiveness decreased!
Anytime
And yes, I agree, but it does make it more of a challenge for us directors, I guess.
If you ask the company owner to unassign (or even fire) evild00d until he is next active then your (and everyone else currently below him) effectiveness will go up....
yea, nice update and poor explanation. i mean, now all my employees got 1*. so how should i get them to increase it? should i say like: "hey, improve various factors" or "your etc is bad, try to improve it". c'mon, cant be there a full list of factors WITHOUT etc's?
Well, samnewman... what you are saying does sound good in ways but my list of workers changes day to day on where they are at. I don't run my company so don't bug me on that. But I do work for my company and I was a 5 star on top of the list then some how got dropped down to the bottom with a 1 star..... Of the other workers most are a 5 or 4 and then a few 3s and 2s, then 2 ones and I am one of those 1s and it pisses me off.
I am active and clean from drugs.... one of the best I seen is one of my 5 stars has not logged in for a day so yeah... you tell me that one. It is all f**ked up and does not work. I want it burned or atleast sent to where they sent the stupid "game dogs". More good ideas with no clear thought as how it would work. And while you are at it staff... take away the racing... that was lame even when it came out.
Idk... I was at 5 stars near top of list, then I dropped to 1 star at bottom along with everyone else in the company... over 12 or so hours got up to 2 stars, but 8 hours later everyone except for one person up top is at 1 star again. The guy on top has 5, the second from top has been inactive for 2 days.
Maybe there is something to it?
?? Don't take my word I'm still trying different things. I don't do drugs and I log on 4+ times a day. I do think the other employees might affect stars though...

Even though I don't agree with how it is set up, like many things with this game you just have to learn how they do things and work around them when you can.
Looking at your fellow employees if Masta-killa is right above you that is the reason you are at one star. He has been inactive for 8 days. If your director would either unassign him or fire him your star count will go back up. I had to do this with a couple of my employees to get the star rating back up for the other employees.

What this update does is forces the directors to have to watch activity levels more since we can now see what inactivety does to other employees. When someone goes inactive for 1 day it does effect other employees.
I have found in my company that as soon as someone hits 24 hours inactive I have to unassign them to keep the effectiveness of the other employees up.
this update, much like companies themselves, is a good idea.
this update, much like the companies, ended up sucking.
what i've seen from the pub companies:
- the number of customers vs. amount of product sold is completely disjointed, doesn't even make sense.
- first company to hit rating 3 did it with all employees in fed, none of which had logged in for 100+ days, including the director.
- the first ever pub just made rating 4, and it's not even close to being one of the better-performing pubs.
and here's the big bargain:
pay all your staff's daily salary, $10k each time you train them, $100k+ every week to advertise, and don't forget a few million $$$ in upgrades...
