Each player/faction starts out with 100% honor. High honor makes you 100% attack ready. Low honor makes you more vulnerable to attacks.
Players:
If you do not attack anyone in 24 hours your honor will raise 10% to the max of 100%, if you do not log on daily you will lose 5% honor, 20 days of inactive mean you have 0 honor unless you have a DP status and you would not lose any honor unless you lose your DP status.
If you attack anyone your level or higher, your honor raise to max for the attack if you win. You lose honor not much if you lose or stalemate.
If you attack someone 100%+ you would max your honor.
If you attack someone 99%-70% your size you would lose 10% honor if you win or lose.
If you attack someone 1%-69% your size you would lose 100% honor if you win or lose.
Once 0 honor has been reached you may not attack again until you reach 10% honor.
**** With 0 honor it makes you vulnerable, your attack/defend mode will decreased to 50%***
So if you have 10k stats, you would only have stats of someone of 5k. Every 10% honor loss means your attack/defense is decreased by 5%.
HoF factions are just out of control attacking no0b factions getting easy cash and respect! And guess what? NOTHING was ever done until a little bit ago that just reduced the respect they gained. What did it do though? NOTHING they still get what they want! Maybe just a little bit slower.
And why is that?
It is because the total lack of decent factions to war.
Turning all the peacefull factions into agressive ones in 90 days, will solve that problem for a long time. There will be a lot of factions out there for everyone to war, and the impact on these factions will not be that big. 5-6 HOF factions warring 800 "peacefull" faction. Most of you will hardly get hit.
Personally i wish Ched would make an update that made you stay in the faction for at least 30 days, and that every faction must have at least 10 members
no, it doesn't fix it at all. there are 20 HOF faction. you guys can easily divvy up the 800 new factions such that at least 1 hof faction is going to be warring most of them. worse yet, the biggest noob factions are the ones that will get it worst since no HOF faction will pass up on harrassing 30-50 noobs.
forcing aggressive status on peaceful factions doesn't give them a chance. a lot of people like coming on every few hours to drain their meters, talk to each other. with the introduction of peaceful faction, you can't really say that factions are only for warring. as much as you'd like to think it does, there is no way most noobs can keep up. they need a guarantee of peaceful status until THEY think they are ready, they need war to be worth it, not some BS time limit.

i've been very critical of this new update. I really used to love this game. I even quit other games to better concentrate on this one. I've donated a lot because i've really enjoyed playing this game and I like to give back. I'm not saying that peaceful and aggressive is the way to go but to dangle the promise of not getting warred, something that a lot of people spent a lot of money to get, only to snatch it away is wrong. People should have the right to be able to play the game as they see fit. If they would just like a faction to be better able to converse with their friends and meet new people then so be it. I know just about EVERYBODY who bought a peaceful faction wouldn't have done so if they had known that they were going to be forced into becoming agressive somewhere down the line. IF this update continues then at the very least people should be compensated for the money that was spent based on false pretenses. No matter what way you spin it, this was to appease the HOF factions because just about everybody and their mother has expressed their distaste for this idea. It benefits no one but the HOF factions.
Here's my opinion. If this update goes through, then in 90 days when everybody is forced to become aggressive, everybody who owns a faction and is upset by this change of events, delete your faction and refuse to join another one. I know it's a pain in the ass and there's a lot of hard work that goes to waste but what better way to express your displeasure then to not give the HOF factions targets to war. The admins truly give us no choice. What would they do then, force us to join factions???
I for one am not going to support through any dp purchase either through game money or real money till this is resolved. I urge everybody that feels the same way to do so as well.

We wanted to give factions the choice… To be peaceful or aggressive, this however did not work. With 800 factions created, 4 of those chose to be aggressive.
The issue we were faced with... what would happen in 6 months? All factions but one would inevitably end up peaceful, destroying the whole point of factions. It is supposed to be a dangerous world; the decisions you make are supposed to affect you, positively or negatively to create meaningful play. The change was by no means influenced by any other factions or people.
Three months is a long time, a long time to get all of your faction members ready to protect themselves, build up a respect buffer from OCs and gain allies. The three months, by the way, started for all factions yesterday, so you all have the same amount of time to get ready. And of course, with the new 50 faction war base limit it should make things really interesting. Just because your faction was destroyed last time, it doesn’t mean the same will happen this time… We’re even giving you 3 months to get prepared.
Over these three months, more things will change. For example, OC respect gain may be upped including the adding of additional OCs and an easier system to plan and initiate them. Small disadvantages may be added to higher factions attacking lower factions. At this current moment in time, if a level 40 attacked a level 10, the respect gain is decreased because of the level gap, we may raise the decrease further until we are perfectly happy with the system.
I realise the peaceful status change may have came as a shock, but try to think of it as a new beginning, a chance for you to prove yourself without having to have the nanny that you call “peaceful status”.

We got our ass beaten bigtime, but we did not quit or stared whining on the forums. We fought back. And we hit other factions to gain back the respect we had lost.
Today the noobs have cash to start with drugs and medical from day one. I remember i had to sit the time out, when i got in hospital. It did not matter. We fought for our faction, and we showed the rest of TC that it does not matter what stats you got, or what level you are at. There is no faction in TC that can take down a faction with lojal and committed players.
So shut the f**k up with the whining, and start fighting back.
War a HOF faction. Unless you're afraid to lose your faction to a war.

sounds like the faction changes were nothing but a scam, the HOF gets to spend all their respect on upgrades, everyone is told that their peaceful factions are safe, and 4 months later, after a good protion of new factions have gained some respect, boom the HOF factions are back to zero everyone, and gain all that respect back

It looks like the HOF factions got everything from the last update. They got a lot of nice upgrades to spend (our) respect on to help them even more. Now in 90 days they will have the potential of 800 more factions ripe with easy targets to get more respect from. Everyone else just got to spend money for nothing (in the end that is all they will have) and if they don't delete the faction will get to see a lot of white pages.

ok shoot me for saying this, but there should be a way for a faction to "buy" peaceful from the game.
Like paying a protection fee but to TC not a Faction and this would allow you to purchase your protected status for another month for a fee based on your membership # for the last month . But since this is a TC protection fee no one could war you, not just current protection type where you pay so much and might get out of a few wars.
Make the fee cheaper if you are currently in peaceful status and cost most with more recent wars so the cost would high enough to be prohibitive to a HOF faction to buy peaceful and Of course not purchasable if there is a current active war running .
You decide not to pay your TC fee then you drop to agressive or whatever status will be next on the ladder and will be attackable. this should keep a decent amount of fresh targets for all to war. But also take more cash out of the TC economy and give peacefuls a chance to stay peaceful.
Listen dang it! I almost got federally jailed because I got owned by a person that all she did is hospitalize lower level players. So, I did what anyone would do, I cussed her out and told her what a lousy player she was being.
If 4 are aggressive now, others will join. You have to remember history. The world started out as a peaceful place with man. Then tribes split, and each tribe wanted the another tribe's stuff.
Think about things before you undo your update because of only a possible 1% to 2% of the total TC population. 95% want things to be peaceful. I think they are the people you all should listen to. Newbies have to level up and buy good weapons before they can get on the big dog playing field and war with other factions.

Again like the majority of the other chainers you are completely missing our point.. We don't have a problem with the warring.. What we do have a problem with is we were told you could create a faction that did not need to war, we spent money on DP's to upgrade these factions and now we have our factions swept from beneath our feet and thrown to the wolves.. Very few of us would have created factions and thrown money at it had we not been lied to.. That is the problem we have, not the warring aspect of the game..

This a a game about beeing criminal, and warring your enemies.
The new generation of TC players are so spoiled that it makes me sick. In my early days of TC HT got warred by a lot of harder factions. We got our ass beaten bigtime, but we did not quit or stared whining on the forums. We fought back. And we hit other factions to gain back the respect we had lost.
Today the noobs have cash to start with drugs and medical from day one. I remember i had to sit the time out, when i got in hospital. It did not matter. We fought for our faction, and we showed the rest of TC that it does not matter what stats you got, or what level you are at. There is no faction in TC that can take down a faction with lojal and committed players.
So shut the f**k up with the whining, and start fighting back.
Huh, funny, I thought we had a right to voice our opinions.
I have read the majority of the posts in this discussion and have noticed that almost all of the supporters of this traversty have either HT or DV somewhere in their signature...
but I would say one thing, this game is not a democracy in all my days and years of playing not once have I seen any update which everyone has agreed upon, and I have certanly never known Chedburn to change his mind because a few hundred people complain
over 11000 have viewed this thread, maybe if 10000 posted against this update then something might be done
If you want to make it fair reset everyones stats to ZERO, then we can all have a fighting chance. A faction of 100 day old players fighting 800 day old players is not fair. when ht was coming up everyone was about the same. Put us all at ZERO and let the fighting begin, or let us keep peaceful till we can fight, 91 days ain't gonna do it and if it stays that way this game will be over very soon! no more votes or DP's bought. The hof is just to scared to fight each other so they cried till they got to pick on noobs, lol I bet they all feel so big now! Please ched, please, let us kick on the noobs, we can't fight the other big factions.
For all the whiners read my suggestion and then read it again, you will find the solution to the problem in black and white, if you can take 3 minutes and actually read what I had posted.

hey supermik nobody's stopping you from warring, if the noobs want peaceful factions that's their business not yours. you can tell us TC is about warring all you want, but until we start seeing HOF factions being zeroed, i don't think a single person will agree that faction wars are okay as they are. if you think its okay to zero a noob faction, then you better back that up by zeroing HOF factions.
