In any case it's interesting how quickly they decided to stick with this update regardless of popular vote, stopped replying to it, and just continued onward with pointless things. That's quite childish and unprofessional. I never would have expected it ^_^

Whats ched going to do in 6 months when theres No factions left Again like it was 3 months ago .When the h.o.f. has finished off whats left of the peaceful factions from this recent scam ,, Is he going to start another scam to get people to buy factions again ?

That's exactly what he's thinking and probably is what's going to happen. In 6 months most people complaining about it will still be here. People made friends, got far, and want to see change eventually. In order to see change one must be around themself.
The only difference is that people won't fall for the same trick twice and not throw in their full support like they would have before. Time is indeed one thing that can show him how 'fun' this faction system is for every player. It's only the matter of people that continue to have them now and plan on going down with a fight after the time is up that must pass first.

Considering the ammount of absolutely selfish bs posted in here continuosly by the same people, who obviously fail to read anything including what was said about more changes coming to factions.. BEFORE the peaceful status ends... I don't think the majority of you actually deserve anything at all.

Jen if he resets the game, we'll have the same problems 3 yrs later.... The older players will have unfair advantages they don't deserve, just for playing longer.
3 yrs later, the noobs will still be complaining because it's not the players fault, it's Cheds fault!... He took away peaceful status unfairly, without any good enough replacements! So what you gonna say? Reset it again!? It would be such a waste of time for all the people who have worked hard to build stats, nerves, and cash! |
I think the problem is stats are completly backwards, they sure don't imitate real life. Stats should train easy at first, and they should get harder to train not easier. HOF TRAINS USEING 10 ENERGY, GAINED 5 BILLION STENGTH, LOL. OK of course thats an exageration, but isn't that stupid? If they would of implimented reality into the game there wouldn't be a problem. I think they should reset it, not the whole game just stats. And impliment a dice roll for each player like on D&D. You roll till you get the rite combination of stats to say intel, to dex, etc. And you have a natural limit to how high each stat can go.
Training is easy at first and gets harder as you go. To keep max stats it should cost alot of energy. But to keep say 75 percent power in each one would be kinda like hitting the gym 2 times a week. If anyone wants to hear more just ask here , and then mail me.

And due to the total disregard by admins about the desires of a majority of players, I don't think the game deserves the continued support of donators.
I read somewhere in these forums that 800/804 factions chose peace. That should be good enough for any reasonable team to assume thats what the majority wants.

Has nothing to do with what they want... its the way people go about wanting things... simply continued bitching and flaming staff does nothing but make us not want to do anything whatsoever to help those who bitch and flame staff...
Now if things were done more constructively and people actually tried to look past there own selfishness simply because they dont want to be hosped by higher lvl players or whatever, they would also see that we were looking at changes to prevent some of the things you complain about...
But when you all simply run your mouths without even giving anything any time or consideration or waiting for changes to be forthcoming, really aids nothing and simply makes us think why we should bother to assist you in anyway and give you any sort of concideration when you cannot display any sort of concideration yourselves.

I have never whined about being hospitalised in my TC life.
One of my favourite partsof the game was chaining.
I can no longer do that due to outside pressures (and the 3 day membership issue)
Maybe the focus of this thread and the other should of been that new changes to factions ARE coming and then once they are ironed out, THEN contemplate changing the peaceful status.
After re-reading the original post, the main focus is on how peaceful status is going.

I have tried to relog into my account to find that I have been put into federal jail for having multiple accounts. I contacted staff when my daughter wanted her account on my computer and explained that she has disabilities cannot read unaided etc and asked if that were OK. I was told that as long as we were not in the same faction together then that would be fine. My son also has an account on this computer. No money is transferred between our accounts whatsoever. My son is in the same company I own and is unpaid which I was told was OK. I believe the staff member I asked about this was called Rob and the mails exchanged between us were before my daughters account was set up. I do hope that this is an oversight. Especially since I have recently been in contact with another staff member discussing a possible policy for using flashimages which could provoke seizures in people with epilepsy. What I have so far failed to mention is that my daughter has a type of epilepsy which could be caused by such images. Browsing thu profiles Ive noticed a few which have bad images. I was sincerely hoping that someone might be interested in Torn City developing some sort of policy or guidelines regarding this and that it would be good for the game to be seen to be doing so. I am currently working on a website for POKWE UK Parents of Kids with Epilepsy UK I am in close contact with 2 Paediatric Neurologists specialising in Epilepsy who have care of my daughter and was willing to ask for something written for Torn City some sort of guide. My daughters Neuros are in contact with Prof. Graham Harding of Birmingham who developed the guidelines for tvepilepsy and is acknowledged as a leading expert on the subject. I find it disturbing that the day after my discussions with Leauky Bear that I find myself in fed jail. Is this a coindicence Torn City recently has been slated terribly for the peaceful faction issues and attitudes of staff blah blah blah Ive sat and waited to see the outcome in other words the game has received bad press. To be seen to have a policy with advice taken from someone in the field would only be good for the site at this time and could be something for discussion on the website I am developing along with a bit of free publicity. I am certainly not a cheat and have zero to gain from me having an account plus my son and obviously least of all my daughter. The ONLY thing we are complaining about is that we have been lied to. 800 new factions were started because of the promise of peaceful option. This has cost a LOT of money.
That you, as you put it; "don't want to do anything whatsoever" to rectify this has been clear for a long time!

YOU have NOTHING to lose and ALL to gain from this.
You probably had a huge influence in it.
Until Ched fires all of the staff like you we will never see ANYTHING that will help the problem... sure we will see a "minor respect loss" for a level 40 attacking a level 10... but the fact is you shouldnt get ANY respect unless they are your own level.
The content of your post just shows how one sided you are, you will listen to absolutely nothing unless it benefits you, and your behaviour towards Cheds customers in the last few months has really shown that.
LK I used to like and respect you as staff, but lately I realize you only look out for yourself.

2. Cut a hole in the box.

2. Bring your faction down to one person.
3. Dont vote for TC. (or vote for the number 2 game like me)

Sure LK left Devistation. How long for they go running back to pick on low levels again. Ask one of my kids what happened when a high level jerk took offince to there name because said jerk thinks only his TC and RL wife needs to be called angel. Hope he has Morph to back up his smart mouth. I have time. How is it selfish for low levels to want a peaceful "nanny" to protect them and help them grow and learn? Personally I think all Staff needs fired and outside staff needs brought in. Someone with half a brain and no sway eather way. Then again I do not nor will I ever like TC staff. There is only ONE member I ever got along with and he is no longer staff.
