Mistakes were made and now they're being fixed. That's it. You weren't lied to like you think you were. It was simply a mistake. A mistake that would have led to all peaceful factions and there's no fun in that. It's better they're fixing it now. |
It is impossible to say that it would have led to all peaceful factions when we were only three weeks into it. Please stop trying to spoonfeed us the BS. A lot of factions, like mine, were created with the goal of eventually going to war.

My faction was created to have a peaceful place to be with friends and do oc's without having to spend most of our time fleeing to Mexico.
That was the promise we got and which was broken just like that.
I will delete my faction after 90 days and will stay outside any factions hereafter.

As I look through those who replied to this post I don't think I've come across one person who wasn't in a peaceful faction.
To those who are in a peaceful faction answer this: Why do you want a faction?
If you want one to store money.. or to make friends in the game start a company.
What Chedburn is doing is fair for FACTIONS. |
You know what. IF the peaceful status was never introduced, 800 factions would never be created and people would not have spent money to buy dps.
You still think it's fair for factions now that they are taking away the reason factions were created for.

What would happen in 6 months, wow, perish the thought that HOF factions may have to start fighting each other rather than bullying the weaker factions.
Why make the game competitive when you can just keep cosetting the stronger players and treating the weak like crap? |
now this is true. The smaller peole do get treated like crap. Why can't you make the small people get more respect on th biger people. If they can beat them. Then it will be fair or give the smaller level people another world they can be safe in and have there own factions and when they reach like level 10 they must come into the game of hell. Were we are now this would be a good update for young levels.

yeah they should set it up so that its only profitable for similar strength factions to fight, and not for strong factions to fight weak factions.
that'd make factions so much more fun, and fair

on that note... i heard them says... FACTIONS are for wars... or yet they say Torn City is a dangerous place and if the weak wants to socialize or wut not go get a company... but why do you think those HOF don't war each others.... they are on peace treaty and frds... what a BS reason and a contradiction. To be honest u got a point there... they just too pussy to take out on other HOF cuz they know they will be fighting the war that none can come out as victor and will only waste their resources so might as well farm or use their resources on others which might get them something at the very least. but talking about them just won't do any good or bring any good... only IF CHED starts listening to the voice of majority and stop listening to the self-serving individuals on his staffs, there won't be any fun for any1 in here.

The more I play these games and see what they do wrong, the more I seriously think about reading some programing books. Make a better game, a fair game, and they will come.
[1 ]Lets see besides the present problem what else. Lets see can't race, players sunk millions into a car that has no chance of winning ever as the same handfull of people race constantly.
[2] Black Jack, it cheats nuff said, thats a fact.
[3] Stats get higher faster the more you train them, this is to ensure the Hoff can't ever be taken down I'll wager. Stats should get harder to train IMHO, that way its a fair game and its possible for others to catch up or not be beaten as bad.
[4] They could care less about what the majority of players want, bad business IMHO. I was in a faction once, that lasted about a week, why bother, nuff said. Maybe if I play long enough all the Hof will die or quite playing, then I can be HOF, O' Goodey. Then again wheres my lottery ticket?
[5] This is a war game yet, if I actually use my energy to attack someone it doesn't get used to train stats, therfor I have attacked like 3 people the whole time I been here. Can't catch the HOF by playing a war game and actually haveing wars. Welcome to war city, or as Flash Point called it Hospitol City.
[6] Someone pick up and start here, let them know what you think.
Heres what I think. I must be out of my mind to even come in here 2 to 4 times a day and play this game. I could be playing games with graphics rite now, even free ones. Games thats fair to everyone such as FPS. Then again though, not that they care what we think.

We will see what has been FIXED in a few months when most of the peaceful factions get deleted... The war system will not work like it is, so if Ched wants people to create aggressive faction then something must be changed!

Here is my take.
Topic: Faction updates released
a) Factions starting respect has been changed from 100 to 250.
Ok big deal. Makes us look better to the HoF.
b) Amount of declared wars per faction have been limited to 50.
Unless you are HoF.
c) Faction wars have been removed, you can redeclare if you need to.
because of HoF.
d) Chain counters have been reset, gives everyone a chance to be the new best chainer, I'm pretty sure it won't have to be reset again - so this is it.
Ooops Ched f**ked over HoF factions.
e) A player must be in a faction for at least 3 days before they can leave or be kicked.
No problem can live with it.
f) Peaceful and Aggressive status's have been added. A faction starts in Peaceful status, during this time they cannot be attacked. Once they declare on another faction, they will lose their peaceful status and can be declared on themselves.
Wait a sec. Where is this "You have 91 days to prepare" shit? I see no 91 day listed here. I see nothing that says we have a limit. Only that if we declare on someone we are HoF food.
g) Faction specials have been added. Vigor, Enormity, Steadfast, Gallant and Chaining can all be upgraded giving the faction members massive benefits. The upgrades can be purchased using respect, but be careful, spending too much respect could get your faction killed. Some of the benefits include up to 10% bonus to gym gains, up to 30 minutes off then you're attacked, massive crime bonus's and big nerve bar increases. A lot of these upgrades cost a lot of respect. You will be able to start using your respect once you have at least 1,000.
ooohhhhh How much will this help HoF. Oh I know ALOT! because they can get it all.
Real Money for this load of shit? Why don't everyone complain to there credit card company and Pay Pal. If I had spent real money I would have. I had money set aside to buy some DP's guess what. No DP's. I won't even loan money to my members for them. I am letting mine Expire. Oh yes addressing the "It is being fixed" Spoonful of shit. Who is it being fixed for? The Admins in DV? The other HoF players who are whining to the Admins they are being screwed over? Hell Wish someone would show them what it is like. Wait thats right. With well over 30million they have super stats and therefor run the game.

With the increase in number of factions since the initial change has there been an increase in the dps purchased? - I know I bought quite a few as a quick way of upgrading, getting to explore what the crime faction was all about and capable.
Would it not be more interesting to say let peaceful factions be peaceful, but if any member of the faction attacks a faction member, the faction status will change.
This way it makes it harder for peaceful factions to stay peaceful. More people might be interested in joining factions - as they are less likely to be mugged etc. and if one member slips up the faction is then a target.

Thats stupid cos a lot of my members mug everday for money! If that Happend Attacks would drop hugely and hardly any1 would want to take any1 into the faction for the thaught of some noob is guna mess up!
There has been an increase In Donater Packs since peaceful factions and there still will be in chedburn lets them stay peaceful

I would be willing to risk it...
there are lots of possible targets for mugging/personal attacks out there who are not part of a faction. There has to be an element of trust... the faction pays for the behavior of its members. I would prefer it to lossing the peaceful status when the faction did nothing to trigger it.
there would have to be some way of regaining the peaceful status though.
I think it might send the signal that you are better off being involved in a faction...
I agree with the dps I'll probably only buy more if peaceful factions are able to stay peaceful (if they wish)

An interesting idea but would only work if reacquiring peaceful status (e.g. by kicking the member) was possible. Every one has had rogue members who have been kicked out for their actions.
if you also made it possible for only the faction of the attacked member to declare it would get interesting.

the difference is when u pay with real money which most of the donators do in here.... u got patches and continuous fix from MS but continuous self-served by admins in TC.
