We wanted to give factions the choiceā¦ To be peaceful or aggressive, this however did not work. With 800 factions created, 4 of those chose to be aggressive.

The issue we were faced with... what would happen in 6 months? All factions but one would inevitably end up peaceful, destroying the whole point of factions. It is supposed to be a dangerous world; the decisions you make are supposed to affect you, positively or negatively to create meaningful play. The change was by no means influenced by any other factions or people.

Three months is a long time, a long time to get all of your faction members ready to protect themselves, build up a respect buffer from OCs and gain allies. The three months, by the way, started for all factions yesterday, so you all have the same amount of time to get ready. And of course, with the new 50 faction war base limit it should make things really interesting. Just because your faction was destroyed last time, it doesnāt mean the same will happen this timeā¦ Weāre even giving you 3 months to get prepared.

Over these three months, more things will change. For example, OC respect gain may be upped including the adding of additional OCs and an easier system to plan and initiate them. Small disadvantages may be added to higher factions attacking lower factions. At this current moment in time, if a level 40 attacked a level 10, the respect gain is decreased because of the level gap, we may raise the decrease further until we are perfectly happy with the system.

I realise the peaceful status change may have came as a shock, but try to think of it as a new beginning, a chance for you to prove yourself without having to have the nanny that you call āpeaceful statusā.

Thank you.

The only way to protest about anything is to do hit where it hurts.

CASH real $$$.

If you are not happy with whats going on and feel nobody listens to you.

Be proactive.

Dont buy a DP using your cash.
Don't buy one from the market.
Don't vote weekly or daily.

AFTER ALL 90% of cash injected into this game comes from the last 10% of ppl who signed up.

And its those ppl that are have most to lose from all these hap hazard updates.

You do the mathes.

No donatey status = No cashey cashey.

You will never standup, fight and beat a top faction as a noob. You will never ever get the stats. So you either shutup and just accept everything that gets changed as it is.

OR you make a stand.

Vote with your wallets.:P

Then they shouldn't be in a faction: that's what companies are for.

You can't please everyone. I'm happy you've provided explanations to your actions and quite frankly agree that peaceful factions are too safe for a game like TC.

Don't join a faction then, simple as...

At least now all waring faction have a slightly leveled playing field.

i think factions should be able to remain peaceful for longer periods by purchasing "protection" upgrades for their faction.. with cash, respect or points...

That way rather than just having a free peaceful faction to make money from OCs they would be paying to stay out of wars at a fixed rate.. so they could enjoy the faction environment without getting raped by hof factions...

It would be the same as paying surrender fees really, but without the fact that surrender means nothing because the aggressors can pass your name on / declare again 10 mins later

What would happen in 6 months, wow, perish the thought that HOF factions may have to start fighting each other rather than bullying the weaker factions.

Why make the game competitive when you can just keep cosetting the stronger players and treating the weak like crap?

think the point is ched that we should have been informed,,,the vast majority of people who joined the peaceful factions joined because of the peace,,i doubt if 70% would have joined if they had known,,factions are not just about war,,oc gives lower lvls chance to earn money

Make it negative that way level 40's wouldnt want to attack level 10's and have them in their warbase!

See if that had been posted instead of what LeukyBear put, then there would be less pissed off people now!!!

Though still needs to add an attack restrictiob to stop a faction on 50k from attacking one on 500. Set a minimium limit of some form such as 50% below your respect you can't declare
