Being a member of staff is a volunteer job. Kind of like being a volunteer fire-fighter, they volunteer their lives to save lives. Here at TC, you volunteer your help for the players of TC's help. You do not get paid, but you do earn respect if you treat people the right way.

i'd probably spend all day in IRC on #help and doing stuff that certain staff are required to do, and it'd be rly cool to help people and get thanks all day. It helps lift the mood.
People say thanks?? when?? where???
:o
lol..no really. Being staff is a giving job, in many ways. And its true... the ONE thank you, makes up for the 10 bashing/swearing/flaming answers/mails you get a day

lol why say we have too be level 15+ as you'll only accept level 30+ lol
Odd since I'm only level 29 and have been staff since level 24 or so..
Level has no effect on acceptance (besides having to be over level 15, as until then you cant even access the entire game.) Its simply that staff are wanted to be experienced. Experience generally = time spent in game. Time spent in game generally = higher levels.
And I probably made no sense what so ever since I have had 3hrs sleep and feel like crap.
But the point is, you could just as easily be accepted as a level 40 or a level 20. All depends on how much time and effort your willing to put into the staff work and TC itself.

Well said Rae, especially being on soo little sleep
Although activity within the game doesn't get you in.
Sometimes i am on from 10:00 'til 04:00, constantly in the forums, helping or annoying people and don't even get considered, lol.
