butt i think they should still block big factions from attacking small factions
and they should make it harder for the
big factions to gain respect when chaining on small factions
and a little off topic but they need to delete all the old accounts thet havent been loged into for 200 days

Not really, as it has nothing to do with the discussion...
All you will miss is one little number. You kept the respect, and so the chain was not wasted...
So what actually do you want compensation for?

I still dont understand.. compensation? I personally dont agree. Not everyone will be happy after an update, thats almost impossible. If would start a policy of compensating before every change...oi oi. Why dont you take it for what it is..a place in the history of tc, and no one can ever change that. With this change of chaining threw new day, the records would be broken soon anyways I assume. And who will remember the old record when its already been broken. I know it cost alot of money and effort.. but changing the system, doesnt take away what you did in the past. |

if you cant protect your faction you lose it.
to all that can "protect" their factions and have some best chain points i sugest a compensation, not only for HoF, but for all

For cris sake, with no rollover, all of the HoF chain lengths were going to be replaced within 3 months time and by a landslide. Stop whining when you know it would have been true and that more than likely it would be you, PT, DA etc... to break your own records.

For Gods sake, you and PT have made your point clear and can stop already. Let's now wait for those updates and see.
Admins have never revealed much or anything about them before they're released and there really can be something that could be thought worth of compensation. Alternatively they made white lie and say all factions best chain is resetted to prevent anyone trying breaking their best chain on coming weekend and it's not resetted when updates are installed.

Ched has certainly advanced a great many abysmally stupid updates before. Ched has even advanced abysmally stupid updates before that aroused considerable hue and cry. What placed this particularly abysmally stupid update on somewhat rarer earth was that it was an abysmally stupid update that aroused the majority of its hue and cry amongst the 'elite of TC'.
Ultimately, I think that seeing an update stricken down so soon after admins from HOF warring faction(s) have strongly objected to it will have the effect of opening sleepy eyes to the reality that admins have NO BUSINESS being in HOF warring factions.
Most of us come from countries where our goverment carefully separates executive, judicial, and legislative branches. What we see in TC is that not only do our admins combine powers from all three of the above branches, but they additionally 'compete economically' within the Game against the rest of us.
Whereas it's true that TC is the private enterprise of Chedburn and not ran by a 'government' modeled upon a particular nation, it's equally true that the reasons for separating and limiting powers- such as amongst admins- still strongly exist. There has long been tacit acknowledgment of non-abuse of administrative power within Chedburn himself's decision to not actively 'compete' economically and otherwise with the rest of us in the Torn City. As we begin to see admins with Chedburn-like 'inside knowledge' eschewing Chedburn's non-competitive posture, the very fabric of the Torn City stretches elasticity of the plausible and endurable.

Well as I see ur faction has a 506 members in it's best chain, in those 506 didn't u spent refils and job points, isn't that money? Wouldn't u like to receive it back since in that day ur objectiv was to have a best chain record?
Well if u don't like money u can give ur answer.
Ched just let these updates get out to end this once and for all.

Some are so obsessed with the counter.. cause it cost so much time and energy..
What about HT..they dont have best chain..or other hof factions dont, but how can you put a number to compensation based on best chain??
What if you have 20 small chains instead of 2 large ones.. ? Who says that is less time and money spent?
You can not start compensating based on longest chain....that is certainly NOT fair.
Its a matter of priority.. some factions choose to go for long chain, some go for just the respect.. Just cause some choose to go for a record..that means THEY should get compansated for it, but not those who choose to do many small chains, that spend equally same amount of money all in all.

That was the best thing I heard latelly, that's exactelly the same reason bet companies don't let their employes bet, because they are not fragile to the company laws, and can actually change them in their favours.
But this game is this game, and in my personal point of view I would very much like not be an admin and play, than beeing one and don't play.

No I don't want compensation thanks i wasn't in the faction when they hit that chain anyway. But on the other hand i don't see the guys that were, in here crying for a few dollars. If the counters do get reset will your life be over, you already put the hours in and spent the cash, you got the respect which be honest is what you really wanted anyway isn't it. You may want compensation but what you actually need is a diaper change.

How exactly was the previous one in anyway fair.... it was based simply because someone had more respect they get less.. regardless of what level of players they were warring....
HoF was what everyone focused on simply because their are 20 visible factions there... what you seem to not realise is this was also unfair for any faction with greater respect than any other faction...
Respect differences based upon level make way more sense than any type based upon the fact that because a faction has been around longer than another faction that may very well have higher levels than themselves gained more respect while you had no chance to take more than a token ammount back (if you could even hit them).
As for the chain counter there is very good reason for the necessity for it to be reset, as well as the necessity for all current faction wars to be deleted. Neither of these things were considered lightly.

I do understand that, but i have seen so much crap in situations like this one before, that i just don't have expectations now.
The rollback and the bank upgrades merits lost are still in my mind.

I just got home, read a couple posts and thought i would say something about yours leuky
I can totally understand that wars need to be all cleared (new rules to who you can war coming?) but i don't see a point in reseting best chain. Unless it is somehow involved in the new warring system or something like that

OMG, some of you are absolutely pathetic. Grow a pair and get over it. Everyone has gotten screwed over at one point or another, that's TC. I'd love for hunting to go back to "normal" and to get back the 500 points I lost in the big crash, but it's not going to happen. The game evolves, that's TC. Respect is going to be lost, but I've lost a lot of respect towards PT.
Someone get a couple hundred bottles and a sh*t ton of breast milk so we can feed these little babies.

Some factions that are in the HoF of Best Chain today won't have the opportunity to arrange a new chain that would place them again in that HoF, i feel sorry for those factions, because they worked hard for that place in HoF.
I'm PT and chained in HoF Best Chain chains (omg, so many words with chain, this will be difficult to read ) and i belive that PT factions are the ones that have the best resources, money and members, to be able to get to Top Best Chain again.
So if the reset of the HoF is really necessary, then just do it, just think about the factions that won't have the opportunity to show that once they were good and made into Best Chain HoF.
This is my opinion as a TC player.
