There will be some that will not be happy with a number of these changes, others will enjoy them... but hopefully we can evaluate things again after they are implemented and we can then adjust if so required.

About the ppl who says PT is speaking only for their faction, dont be/act stupid:
we are talking in general, for all factions. Of course PT is the most penalised with this, so thats why you are earing more of them than other factions.
we have the bad points:
time spent on beating the record: wasted;
effort: wasted;
work: wasted;
money: wasted;
faction/TC history: deleted;
respect for players: none;

We all know that we can do it again... It will take a few weeks to put all the 6 factions there, but they will be there again...
Still it would be nice to give a reason for the need of reseting the counter... Maybe it would calm ppl down a litle...

Well I can understand what PT and other chain HoFers must be going through, after hearing this. It really is unfair and not reasonable to reset all the chain records, as those really have nothing to do with the problem, what so ever.
I think though, it might be, that some updates can not be done without erasing the reconds. That is the only reasonable excuse I can think of.
However PT, I am sure you would of beaten your old record anyways, now is just a good chance to do it and show that you can stay the best despite everything.
I feel very sorry for you guys and I really hope, what ever the future updates are, they will make up for your loss.

what these updates REALLY need are respect barriers.
eg: Respect 1200 cant be warred by saaaay.....anyone over 500 or whatever.
i only say this because, i started a new faction, and it lasted 8 days before it was chained into the ground by DA. f**kin blows

Two things to say to that. First, when starting a faction it costs more than the 2.5 mil or whatever it is now. You need to have some operating money. Its just like buying inventory or advertising for a company. Second, if your faction chained (not necessarily DA) some one else, you would be gainning back all the respect you lost. The lazy bird starves and dies, thats life.
However that being said, I respect where you are coming from. I suggest new factions start with 1000 respect since 100 can be lost so fast. This will give new factions a chance to organize and find someone to chain to earn back the respect lost.
I think people fail to realize that in the end faction wars will still continue. Factions will still be zeroed and lazy N00bs will still complain. Under the change attempted yesterday, factions could still be quickly zeroed (just not by the HoF). The moral of the story is that you have to work to be successful. Stop pointing at the HoF and look at what you have done to prevent being zeroed before complaining.
Exactly - I dont often post on the main forums but as many people have already said youve already got your respect from the chains and your not loosing that (although I did see someone from PT moaning that if chain records were going to be reset why not reset respect as well)
Chain record is just that - you would have broken it again anyway with the changes Ched is doing to stop the counters at the midnight reset.
As for moaning that youve wasted time, effort, money, ect....YOU HAVENT!! You still have the respect so stop being so bloody stupid and moaning about something that is only a bragging right anyway. It doesnt serve a function in the game its just a number.

it is hard to organize chains when ur allover the world. thats where PT use their brains. all in 1 locaton = no hard time organizing chains. however...yeah
